period from 1960 to 1989. The objective is to contribute to the studies on History of
School Subjects with the study of geography as a school subject, to point out the
interruptions and continuities of the knowledge of this subject. In order to identify what
is behind the changes and continuities of the content of geography, didactic works of the
main authors from the abovementioned period will be analyzed. The textbook is the
main source of this research since the analysis I propose is to verify the changes in the
actual syllabus. Other research sources will also be consulted, such as the proposal and
laws that organize the formal syllabus, the periodical publications of such subject o
Boletim Paulista de Geografia [São Paulo Bulletin of Geography], the journal
Orientação [Orientation] and the annals of meetings and congresses of geography made
by AGB [Association of Brazilian Geographers] / Este trabalho aborda as mudanças de conteúdo da disciplina de Geografia no
período de 1960 a 1989. O objetivo é contribuir para os estudos sobre História das
Disciplinas Escolares com o estudo da Geografia como disciplina escolar, apontar as
rupturas e continuidades dos saberes dessa disciplina. Buscando identificar o que está
por trás das mudanças e continuidades dos conteúdos de Geografia serão analisadas as
obras didáticas dos principais autores que escreveram no período delimitado. O livro
didático é a principal fonte desta pesquisa, pois a análise que se propõe aqui é verificar
as mudanças no currículo real. Além dessa, outras fontes de pesquisa também serão
consultadas; as demais fontes serão as propostas e leis que organizam o currículo
formal, os periódicos da disciplina em questão o Boletim Paulista de Geografia, a
revista Orientação e os anais de encontros e congressos de Geografia produzidos pela
AGB
