Elevperspektiv på ämnet historia

AbstractThe purpose of this study is to further understand swedish highschoolstudents perspective on the subject of history. In order to produce an answer a series of qualitative interviews were conducted with six students of mixed ages, ethnicity an gender. Their answers were evaluated using relevant didactic theories focusing on the use of history, historical consciousness as presented by Klas-Goran Karlsson. Motivationtheories according to the RISE model. By Edward Hootstien. Another significant scientist to our work has been Vanja Lozic and his book ”Historieundervisningen utmaningar” (The challenges of historyteaching ) whose results we have compared to our own.The conclusion reached is that the pupil prespective on history in many respects is based on their and their famlies lifes history. Furthermore students consider teachers should introduce the subject from a scientific aspect and problematize how their history is contnuously created. Students do also appear too indetify a direct link between identety and general knowledge as it is central to the process of inclusion and exclusion.
