Syftet med följande undersökning är att granska om historielärare på högstadiet kankontrollera om eleven fördjupat, eller förändrat, sitt historiemedvetande genom skriftligaprov. Om så är fallet kommer det även att undersökas på vilket sätt detta är möjligt.Undersökningen bearbetas genom att teorier från ett antal historiker och författare presenteras.Dessa beskriver och har teorier kring ämnena skriftliga prov, bedömning, historiekunskap ochhistoriemedvetande. Ett viktigt begrepp som hanteras är historiemedvetande. Eleven fårgenom ett mer fördjupat historiemedvetande perspektiv på tidsdimensionen då – nu – sedan,och kan vidareutveckla sin identitet och se sig själv som både skapad och skapare avhistorien.Arbetet ger en översikt på begreppet historiemedvetande och hur lärare genomskriftliga prov kan utläsa om och på vilket sätt historiemedvetandet fördjupas hos eleven.Undersökningen genomförs dels med hjälp av en kvalitativ metod i form av intervjuer medhistorielärare på Korsavadsskolan i Simrishamn, och dels genom att teorier och tidigareforskning på området presenteras och diskuteras. I analysen behandlas empirin i koppling tilldessa teorier och forskningsresultat. Slutligen presenteras vad denna undersökning harkompletterat forskningen på området med.Resultatet av undersökningen visar att historielärare på Korsavadsskolan ansersig kunna utläsa om eleven fördjupat sitt historiemedvetande genom skriftliga prov i historia.Detta under förutsättning att eleven har förmågan att analysera och dra kopplingar mellandåtid, nutid och framtid. Lärarna hade svårare att urskilja historiemedvetandets andrainnebörder nämligen om eleven kan förstå att han eller hon både är skapad och skapare avhistorien och utvecklar sin identitet. / The reason for our research is to get a view, if history teachers can control if a student has hada deeper understanding or changed his or her history consciousness, by completing writtentests. Should this be the case it will also be investigate how this is possible. This research isexecuted and formulated by theories from different historians and writers being presented,which describes and incorporates theories about the subjects written tests, assessement,4history knowledge and history consciousness. An important definition that will be handled inthis study is history consciousness. The student, through a deeper history consciousness, willobtain perspective of time dimension such as past, present and future. From that they candevelop their own identity and be aware of themselves both as created and creater of history.The research gives an overview of the history consciousness concept and howteachers through written tests can evaluate if and in what way history consciousness deepensfor the student. This research is partly being executed through a qualitative method ofinterviewing history teachers working at Korsavadsskolan in Simrishamn, Sweden. The studyis partly completed by presenting and discussing theories and previous researches about thesubject. In the analyzing part I discuss the empiri in connection to the theories and results ofthe research.Finally it will be presented what this study has complemented to the research ofthis area. The result to this study shows that teachers at Korsavadsskolan believe that they canfind out if the student has deepend their history consciousness through written tests in history.This shows if the student has the ability to analyze and make connections of past, present andfuture. The teachers found it harder to distinguish the other meaning of history consciousness,namely if the student could understand that he or she is both created and creater of history anddevelopment of their own identity.
