Previous issue date: 2012-06-13 / This Dissertation - located at the interface between studies conducted in the field of lexicology focused on the research of History and Description of the Portuguese Language Program at Postgraduate Studies at the Catholic University of Sao Paulo - thematizes the general vocabulary of the language itself, focusing on its own so-called idioms expressions.
The topic has been subjected to different and varied research, which provided significant contributions to the researchers in how understand the functionality of the research in the field of translation, production of bilingual dictionaries, and for teaching Portuguese for foreign speakers, and also how they are explained as a product of metaphorical constructions.
Thus, the overall goal was to extend understanding of these processes to situate them as lexical-grammatical elements from Portuguese language vocabulary, which has been pointing out that idiomatized language by contacts between people from different cultural environments, the flowing of construction of similar stories that entered the cultural nuances of these differences, contributes for the language construction.
This understanding has turned to issues in which / through the lexicon it is possible to recognize the cultural identity of a people. This goal of a general nature was developed based on three specific objectives, qualified as possible to be measured by results of analyzes.
In the Chapter I, we mentioned issues about variations and varieties of the Portuguese language uses, guided by a historical point of view, to differentiate historical language - standards socio-historical-cultural rules - language system, placing the language regarding the architecture March to the formation of Brazilian culture.
In the second chapter, we sought to differentiate, for review procedures, assumptions regarding lexicultura oriented, the distinction between types of composite lexias whose lexical forms are identical as regards the language system, but the contents of their lexical meanings differ as to use by Brazilian and Portuguese Iberian and can only be explained by a socio-cultural-historical.
We gave it emphasis on strategies regarding the procedures as they are idiomatizadas by Brazilians. In the third chapter - to understand the crystallization processes by which these lexias are called, the results indicated that the crystallization result of morphological constraints and not the processes of composition of their meanings, which is why they are continuously ressemantizadas-discursive and textual resources through language practices so as to give the old with the new resemantization / Esta Dissertação situada na interface entre estudos desenvolvidos na área da Lexicologia com a linha de pesquisa História e Descrição da Língua Portuguesa, do Programa de Estudos Pós-Graduados da Pontifícia Universidade Católica de São Paulo tematiza o vocabulário geral dessa mesma língua para nela focalizar as denominadas expressões idiomáticas. O tema tem sido objeto de diferentes e variadas pesquisas, todas elas se oferecem aos pesquisadores como contribuições significativas referentes à compreensão de orientações que possibilitam verificar como elas funcionam, no campo da tradução, naquele referente à produção de dicionários bilíngues, bem para o ensino da língua portuguesa para falantes estrangeiros e, ainda, como elas se explicam como produtos de construções metafóricas. Assim, o objetivo geral foi o de estender esses processos de compreensão para situá-las como elementos léxico-gramaticais do vocabulário da língua portuguesa, pontuando ter sido essa mesma língua idiomatizada por contatos entre povos de matizes culturais diferenciados entre si, no fluxo da construção de histórias semelhantes que, inscritas nas diferenças desses matizes culturais, respondem pela construção dos idiomas. Essa compreensão se voltou para questões em que no/pelo léxico, é possível reconhecer a identidade cultural de um povo. Esse objetivo de caráter geral foi desdobrado por três objetivos específicos, qualificados como possíveis de serem mensurados, por resultados obtidos de análises. Tratou-se no Capítulo I de questões sobre variações e variedades de usos da língua portuguesa, orientadas por um ponto de vista histórico, para diferenciar língua histórica - normas sócio-histórico-culturais de regras - de língua sistema, situando o idioma pela arquitetura referente à formação do marco da cultura brasileira. No segundo Capítulo, buscou-se diferenciar, por procedimentos de revisão, orientados pressupostos referentes à lexicultura, a distinção entre tipos de lexias compostas, cujas formas vocabulares são idênticas, quanto à língua sistema, mas os conteúdos dos seus significados vocabulares diferem, quanto aos usos por brasileiros e portugueses ibéricos e só se explicam por uma perspectiva sócio-cultural-histórica. Atribuiu-se relevo às estratégias referentes aos processos como elas são idiomatizadas pelos brasileiros. No terceiro Capítulo - compreender os processos de cristalizações por meio dos quais essas lexias são denominadas, os resultados apontaram que as cristalizações resultam de coerções morfológicas e não dos processos de composição de seus significados; razão pela qual elas são continuamente ressemantizadas como recursos textuais-discursivos, por meio de práticas de linguagem, de modo a facultar a ressemantização do velho pelo novo
