Resumé
This thesis approaches the personal and professional life of Libuše Váchová at the Czech music scene. In particular, the first part focuses on the artist´s long-term teaching at the Prague Conservatory and beyond. The work contains a list of all of her students from the Prague Conservatory.
The second part of this detailed analyzed topic deals with her undeniable influence on the emerging composition for solo harp; however it is also over viewing many non-traditional parts for harp in the chamber music.
The final part of this thesis shows an overview of all compositions that Libuše Váchová ever recorded for the Czech Radio. In this final part is also an attachment of a few programme samples from the concerts by the harp class at the Prague Conservatory.
