Lika bemötande i det företagsfrämjande systemet? : Hur ligger det egentligen till?

his paper aims to investigate whether there is any discrimination between women and men at their first contact with the ”business supporting system” (företagsfrämjande systemet) in Sweden. Discrimination between women and men in the business community is a frequently discussed topic, but often in terms of board positions, employment or salary. This paper takes a new perspective on this question and will investigate if there are differences when a man and a woman contact the Swedish business supporting system. The question for this paper is as follows. Do women and men get treated differently in the first contact with the Swedish business supporting system? A field experiment was conducted in which fictitious application were sent out asking for help to different players in the business supporting system. The answers were collected and analysed by variables (e.g answering time, or numbers of positive words per response email, etc.), but also through a subjective interpretation. The conclusion of this paper shows that there are most likely no discrimination against women in this first contact. This is thought to be due mainly to the absence of a selective process at first contact.
