2010-talets läsfrämjande satsningar : En innehållsanalys av Läslyftet och läslovet med utgångspunkt i läsfrämjande arbete

This study examines two Swedish projects, Läslyftet (the Reading Lift) and läslovet (the Reading Break), and a selection of texts in them by using the qualitative content analysis. The purpose of the study is to investigate what the content is in four modules that emphasize reading. The following questions serve as a starting point to give answers to the purpose of the study: 1) To which extent do the articles mention aspects that research has shown promote reading? 2) To which extent do these mentioned aspects reflect efferent and aesthetic reading? 3) To what extent is “läslust” (“reading for enjoyment”) and other closely related terms used? The analysis showed that overall, the articles mirror elements that research has shown promote reading, but two of the modules gave it less focus. Also, the modules mostly contained a mix of the efferent and aesthetic reading. “Läslust” (“reading for enjoyment”) occurred in a few of the texts, but the terms “reading engagement”, “reading interest” and motivation were more commonly used.
