La relación madre-hija en tres cuentos de escritoras españolas contemporáneas

This essay will look at three short stories by three different contemporary Spanish female writers, "La buena hija" by Almudena Grandes, "Una historia de amor como otra qualquiera" by Lucía Etxebarria and "Loco con cuchillo" by Espido Freire. The essay will investigate their common theme of the relationship between mother and daughter, mainly from a feministic point of view, as well as the special situation in Spain after the end of the Civil War in 1939. The essay also intends to place the writers into their literary context and investigate the way Spanish feminist writing has developed since 1945.
