En la presente investigación se describe y analiza las relaciones entre los sistemas ideológicos y los valores, con las creencias y conductas hacia el medio ambiente. El estudio consta de dos fases, una primera exploratoria y una correlacional. En la primera se realizaron 12 entrevistas a estudiantes de una universidad privada de Lima; en las que se halló que la mayoría de los jóvenes se encuentran al tanto de la problemática ambiental, sin embargo hay quienes muestran una mayor conciencia y preocupación respecto a la misma; y por lo tanto manejan mayor información. Para la fase correlacional, la muestra estuvo conformada por 133 sujetos de entre 17 y 28 años. A partir de esta muestra se analizó cómo es que los Valores y la Ideología se relacionan con las Creencias y Conductas hacia el medio ambiente. Los resultados muestran en primer lugar la existencia de dos perfiles, los Preocupados por el Medio Ambiente, y los Indiferentes para con el mismo. Se encontró además que la Ideología, en términos de SDO y RWA tiene influencia tanto en los Valores como en las creencias hacia el medio ambiente; específicamente la SDO influye directamente en las creencias de Dominancia del medio, e inversamente en la Preocupación por el mismo. Por otro lado, de los Valores, el único que presentó una influencia significativa directa en las conductas a favor del medio es el Universalismo; el cual juntamente con las Creencias hacia el medio, son predictores de conductas como el reciclaje, el cuidado del agua y el ahorro de energía. / This paper describes and analyzes the relationship between ideology and values, with pro environmental beliefs and behavior. The study consists of two phases: an exploratory and a correlational. In the first, 12 interviews were conducted with students of a private university in Lima. In these interviews was found that most young people are aware of environmental problems, however there are those who show a greater awareness and concern about it, and therefore handle more information. For the correlational phase, the sample consisted of 133 subjects between 17 and 28 years old. From this sample was analyzed how the Ideology and Values were related to Beliefs and Behaviors towards the environment. The first results show the existence of two profiles, Concerned about the Environment, and Indifferent to this. It was also found that Ideology, in terms of SDO and RWA have influence on Values and Beliefs toward the environment, specifically SDO influences directly on beliefs about Dominance of the environment, and inversely on Concern about it. On the other hand, the only Value that has direct significant influence on Behavior in favor of the environment, is the Universalism, which together with the Beliefs towards the environment, are predictors of behaviors such as recycling, water conservation and energy savings. / Tesis
