En la presente investigación se tiene como objetivo general el describir la motivación de logro académico en estudiantes jóvenes de cuatro Centros Educativos Básicos Alternativos (CEBA) de Lima Metropolitana. Para su realización, se contó con 113 participantes con edades entre los 18 a 29 años (Edad promedio = 20.6), de los cuales, el 53.1% fueron mujeres y el 46.9% fueron hombres. Para ello, se hizo uso de una ficha sociodemográfica (Construcción propia) y la Prueba de Motivación de Logro Académico - MLA de Thornberry (2003), de esta manera, lograr recopilar los datos necesarios. A raíz de ello, se obtuvo que estos estudiantes presentan una mayor relación con el factor de acciones orientadas al logro, mientras una menor relación con el factor de pensamientos orientados al logro. Asimismo, se refleja que el grado académico de cuarto de secundaria muestra un mayor porcentaje de un nivel alto de motivación. Por último, se aprecia que las mujeres están más motivadas académicamente a comparación de los varones. / In this research, the general objective is to describe the motivation of academic achievement in young students from four Alternative Basic Educational Centers (CEBA) in Metropolitan Lima. To carry it out, there were 113 participants with ages between 18 and 29 years old (Average age = 20.6), of whom 53.1% were women and 46.9% were men. To do this, a sociodemographic file (Own construction) and the Test of Motivation Academic Achievement (Thornberry, 2003) were used, in this way, being able to collect the necessary data. As a result, it was found that these students have a higher relationship with the factor of achievement-oriented actions, while a lower relationship with the factor of achievement-oriented thoughts. Likewise, it is reflected that the academic grade of high school fourth manifest a higher percentage of a high level of motivation.
