Malmö högskola: Fakulteten för hälsa och samhälle, institutionen för socialt arbete, 2018.I bakgrundsdelen lyfts fyra olika bakgrundsavsnitt som ger en god uppfattning om familjer med migrationsbakgrund och barn med neuropsykiatrisk funktionsnedsättning. Studiens bakgrundsavsnitt ger en betydande inblick om svensks funktionshinderhistoria, funktionshinderpolitik, neuropsykiatrisk funktionedsättning och kultur. Det övergripande syftet med studien är att undersöka vilken inställning föräldrar med migrationsbakgrund och barn med neuropsykiatrisk funktionsnedsättning har till funktionsnedsättning och det stöd de kan få i Sverige. Ett annat syfte med studien är att studera familjens integration i Sverige. Detta studerades utifrån professionellas perspektiv. Studiens metod är kvalitativ där urvalet är målstyrt. I studiens empiriska del har det genomförts fyra intervjuer med professionella som jobbar med familjer som har barn med neuropsykiatrisk funktionsnedsättning. Resultaten visar att kontakten mellan professionella och familjer med migrationsbakgrund som har barn med neuropsykiatrisk funktionsnedsättning, kan vara en utmaning men även en fördel. Det främsta resultat som framkommit i studien är att det finns skilda betraktelsesätt kring neuropsykiatrisk funktionsnedsättning i förhållande till professionella och en del familjer med migrationsbakgrund. Studiens slutsats visar på att genom större förståelse och bättre samspel mellan föräldrar och samhället kommer föräldrarnas lidande att minska. / Ibrahim, Y. Malmö University: Faculty of Health and Society, Department of Social Work, 2018.In the background section, four different background sections are raised that give a good idea of families with a migrant background and children with neuropsychiatric disabilities. The background of the study provides a significant insight into Swedish disability history, disability policy, neuropsychiatric disability and culture. The overall aim of the study is to investigate the attitude of parents with a migrant background and children with neuropsychiatric disabilities to disability and the support they can receive in Sweden. Another purpose of the study is to study the family's integration in Sweden. This was studied from the perspective of professionals. The method in the study is qualitative where the selection is goal-oriented. In the empirical part of the study, four interviews have been conducted with professionals working with families with children with neuropsychiatric disability. The results show that the contact between professionals and families with migration background who have children with neuropsychiatric disabilities can be a challenge but also an advantage. The main result found in the study is that there are different ways of thinking about neuropsychiatric disability in relation to professionals and some families with a migration background. The study's conclusion shows that through greater understanding and better interaction between parents and society, the suffering of parents will decrease.
