This report examines the computer programs used by companies in the construction industry to facilitate project management and administration in the projects. The purpose of the degree project is to describe which programs are most common in the project management market. Also to get an overview of what the construction industry thinks about the programs they use today and what is positive and negative about these. The work has been carried out over a 10 week period and therefore does not include an explanation of how the various programs work but only the views on the pros and cons that the interviewees have told. In the result, the information collected during interviews is reported. From these we see that a large majority of the companies interviewed use Byggsamordnaren in their project management. It was also found that the spread of computer programs for accounting, invoice management and data storage was large, there were no programs that had a clear user majority. More companies should be consulted for further research on the subject. To also examine how the various programs that are on the market today works and compare them with each other would have been a rewarding study for the companies operating in the construction industry.
