Bakgrund: En åtgärd för att undvika smittspridning i vård- och omsorgsarbetet är tillämpning av handhygien. I omvårdnadsarbetet har personalens händer kontakt med både människor och/eller redskap. Det fastnar mikroorganismer på huden varje gång den kommer i kontakt med någonting. Vårdrelaterade infektioner skapar lidande och längre vårdtider för patienterna och är även ett problem som skapar högre vårdkostnader inom både hälso- och sjukvård och kommunal vård och omsorg. I denna litteraturöversikt undersöks faktorer som påverkar handhygien för att minska de vårdrelaterade infektionerna som med enkla medel kan undvikas. Syfte: Syftet var att studera faktorer som påverkar sjuksköterskans tillämpning av handhygien i arbetet för att förhindra vårdrelaterade infektioner. Metod: En kvantitativ litteraturöversikt med resultat från tolv stycken vetenskapliga artiklar. En metod i tre steg från Friberg. Resultat: De tolv artiklarna visar på sjuksköterskans attityd, arbetsmiljön och utbildning är de faktorer som påverkar hur handhygienen tillämpas av sjuksköterskan. Några exempel på faktorer som påverkar handhygienen är inställningen till handhygien, chefers påverkan och olika utbildningssätt. Slutsatser: Det har framkommit att det är flera faktorer som påverkar hur sjuksköterskan tillämpar handhygien. Genom utbildning och träning kan man påverka sjuksköterskan positivt till att öka sin tillämpning. Hur chefer förhåller sig till handhygien har också visats sig ha en positiv påverkan på den anställda sjuksköterskan. / Background: One measurement that could be taken to avoid the spread of infection by compliance of hand hygiene. In this work of line, the staff has a lot of physical contact with both people and/or tools. Microorganisms attach to the skin every time it comes in contact with something. Care-related infections cause unnecessary suffering, extended healing process for the patients which will lead to higher care expenses within both health and medical care and municipal healthcare. In this literature overview, factors that affect hand hygiene examines in order to reduce the care-related infections that could be avoided with simple means. Aim: The purpose was to study factors that affect the nurse's compliance of hand hygiene in the work to prevent care-related infections. Method: A quantitative literature review with results from twelve scientific articles. The literature search was performed in the databases Cinahl and Medline. A method in three steps from Friberg. Results: The twelve articles show the nurse's attitude, work environment and education are the factors that influence how hand hygiene is applied by nurses. Some example on factors that affect hand hygiene is the attitude to hand hygiene, the influence of managers and different types of education. Conclusion: It has emerged that there are several factors that influence nurses compliance to hand hygiene. Through education and training, one can influence nurses positively to increase their compliance. How managers relate to hand hygiene has also been shown to have a positive impact on the employed nurses.
