Denna studie undersöker tillgänglighet, behov och vägledningsprocesser av studie- och yrkesvägledning inom Sfx-utbildning i Storstockholmsregionen. Datainsamlingsmetod utgjordes av en kombination av enkät och intervjuer. Enkäten bidrog med svar gällande tillgänglighet av studie- och yrkesvägledning. Semistrukturerade intervjuer genomfördes med sju personer som har anknytning till området yrkesutbildning för svenska för invandrare. Det insamlade materialet analyserades utifrån Patton & McMahons metateori Systems Theory Framework. Studien visar att tillgängligheten till studie- och yrkesvägledning är god och sker på många sätt av vägledarna och övriga utbildningsaktörer. Vägledningsprocesserna visar på variationer i vägledarnas arbetssätt och handlar generellt om kartläggning, information och perspektivvidgning. Sfx-studenterna har behov av information och kunskaper gällande den svenska arbetsmarknaden, hur man skaffar nätverk och kontakter samt navigering i svensk kultur och svenska samhällsinstitutioner. / This study examines the availability, needs, and guidance processes of study and career guidance in Sfx education in the Greater Stockholm region. The data collection method consisted of a combination of surveys and interviews. The survey provided answers regarding the availability of study and career guidance. Semi-structured interviews were conducted with seven persons connected to the area of vocational education for Swedish for immigrants. The collected data was analysed based on Patton and McMahons Systems Theory Framework theory. The study shows that access to career guidance is good and takes place in many ways by the counselors and other educational participants. The guidance practices show variations in the guidance counselors’ methods and are generally about mapping, information and widening perspectives. The Sfx-student needs include information and knowledge regarding the Swedish labour market, how to obtain networks and contacts as well as navigation in Swedish culture and Swedish social institutions.
