O objetivo do trabalho é mostrar como a poesia de Drummond capta os impasses da forma nacional brasileira. As bases teóricas utilizadas são as da crítica materialista, especialmente de autores como Marx, Benjamin, Adorno e Luckacs. A interpretação da formação nacional e do sistema literário faz-se com base no pensamento de Antonio Candido e Roberto Schwarz. O trabalho enfoca a produção literária de Drummond entre os anos 30 e 60 e conclui que o autor caracteriza-se como o grande poeta nacional que assumia na forma poética a desagregação do sentido formativo da nação.
_________________________________________________________________________________________ ABSTRACT / This work deals with the presence of Brazil in the poetical workmanship of Carlos Drummond de Andrade. The objective of the work is to show as the poetry of Drummond catches the impasses of the brazilian national form. The used theoretical bases are of the materialist criticism , especially of authors as Marx, Benjamin, Adorno and Luckacs. The interpretation of the national formation and the literary system on the basis of becomes the thought of Antonio Candido and Robert Schwarz. The work focuses the literary production of Drummond between years 30 and 60 and concludes that the author characterizes itself as the great national poet who assumed in the poetical
form the disaggregation of the formative direction of the nation.
