The purpose of this essay is to study cooperation between the Police and the Social Services in cases regarding intimate partner violence. The research questions aim to focus on the employees experiences of cooperation and their opinions on what they think works and doesn’t, linked to the employees occupational health and work environment. Previous research indicates that the cooperation between the authorities is efficient and that it generates positive results. It also displays the fact that there are areas of improvements and measures to enhance the work environment even more. The theory of KASAM (sense of coherence) is used as a scientific approach to interpret and understand the health of the employees as a result of an improved cooperation between the authorities. The result of this study indicates as previous research describes, that there are several aspects of cooperation between the employees that need to be improved and develop further. There is a lack of Swedish studies regarding cooperation between the Police and Social Services in cases of intimate partner violence and its impact on a health-promoting working life. Continued research in the form of a similar study with a larger number of participants should be conducted in order to generate a more unambiguous results.
