Defesa: Curitiba, 29/08/2014 / Inclui referências / Resumo: Nesta dissertação procuramos discutir as formas de apropriação do Festival Folclórico e de Etnias do Paraná, evento realizado desde o ano de 1958 na cidade de Curitiba. Em outras palavras, buscamos discutir sobre a trajetória da organização do evento em diferentes configurações sociais que o engendraram, para na sequência, observar como os grupos folclóricos se organizam internamente e como procuram definir seu lugar no espaço urbano. Para tanto, este trabalho se divide em duas partes complementares: a primeira é caracterizada por uma narrativa histórica, onde definimos o nosso olhar diante do Festival a partir de um viés cronológico. Escolhemos algumas fases nesta trajetória através de relações entre diferentes agências, que estabeleceram usos particulares para o evento em certos momentos da sua trajetória; já a segunda parte compreende o percurso etnográfico, desenvolvido desde os salões de ensaio dos grupos folclóricos até a organização do Festival na edição do ano de 2013. Aqui destacamos a constituição de uma rede social, explicitamente organizada a partir de um significante chamado "folclore", mas que, por outro lado, abre-se para uma diversidade de encontros e desencontros ligados a interesses particulares. Dedicamos outro momento para discutir as formas de compreensão sobre o fenômeno do folclore pelos nossos atores, na medida em que nos deparamos com a capacidade de reflexão destes por meio de seus discursos. Nas noites do evento, ressaltamos a sua dimensão performática, pensando não somente na sua estrutura de apresentação, mas também na sua relação com outros atores na cidade de Curitiba.
Palavras-chave: Curitiba, Festival, Folclore, Redes Sociais / Abstract: In this dissertation, we seek to discuss the forms of appropriation of the Folkloric and Ethnics Festival of Paraná. Event organized since the year 1958 in the city of Curitiba. In other words, we intend to discuss about the history of the event’s organization in different social settings, to further, observe how folkloric groups are organized internally and how they seek to define their place in the urban space. For that, we divided this work into two complementary parts: the first one, is characterized by a historical narrative, where we set our gaze on the Festival from a chronological bias. We have chosen some stages in this pathway, through relationships between different agencies that have established particular uses for the event at certain moments in its history; the second part includes ethnographic trajectory, developed from the Halls of folk groups until the organization of the Festival in the year edition 2013. Here we outline the establishment of a social network, explicitly organized from a significant called "folklore" but on the other side, opens to a variety of agreements and disagreements related to particular interests. We dedicate time to discuss other ways of understanding the phenomenon of folklore by our actors, to the extent that we are faced with the reflectivity of these through their speeches. On the nights of the event, we emphasize its performative dimension, thinking not only in its presentation structure, but also in its relationship to other actors in the city of Curitiba.
