Previous issue date: 2018-03-27 / The main purpose of the present study is Rubem Fonseca's book A grande arte, first
published in 1983. It refers to a novel of the Police genre and this work seeks to
situate and justify the elements superimposed on the literary modality, the author,
and the work, which presents a conceptual overview of the genre, its history, main
representatives, striking features, differentiations in relation to other forms of
literature. The involution and renaissance of the genre, the construction of the
characters, the importance and the production of Brazilian authors are also
referenced here. The proposal of this work will be with theoretical and reflective
research, addressing social themes pertinent to the context of the work and its
relation with reality. It is a bibliographical research and will have its reference based
mainly on the construction of the character in the work of Beth Brait (2002), and
Antonio Cândido (2011); in the presentation of the creator of the enigma detective in
Sandra Lúcia Reimão (1983, 2005), indication of the world of the police novel in
Álvaro Lins (1953), and Paulo de Medeiros and Albuquerque (1979), among others. / O presente estudo tem por objeto principal o livro A grande arte, de Rubem Fonseca,
publicado pela primeira vez em 1983. Refere-se a um romance do Gênero Policial e
este trabalho busca situar e justificar os elementos sobrepostos à modalidade
literária, o autor, e a obra, que apresenta um apanhado conceitual do gênero, seu
histórico, principais representantes, características marcantes, diferenciações em
relação a outras formas de literatura. A involução e o renascimento do gênero, a
construção das personagens, a importância e a produção de autores brasileiros
também são aqui referenciados. A proposta deste trabalho se dará com pesquisa
teórica e reflexiva, abordando temas sociais pertinentes ao contexto da obra e sua
relação com a realidade. Trata-se de pesquisa bibliográfica e terá seu referencial
baseado principalmente na construção da personagem na obra de Beth Brait (2002),
e Antonio Cândido (2011); na apresentação do criador do detetive de enigma em
Sandra Lúcia Reimão (1983, 2005), indicação do mundo do romance policial em
Álvaro Lins (1953), e Paulo de Medeiros e Albuquerque (1979), entre outros.
