Hur lärare upplever användandet av digitala hjälpmedel i skrivundervisningen med elever i språklig sårbarhet / Primary grade teachers' experiences concerning the use of digital aids in writing instruction with pupils in language vunerability

This qualitative study sheds light on how six teachers in lower primary school use digital resources during writing instructions with students with linguistic vulnerability. The questions in the study concern methods and opportunities and difficulties that teachers experience with the use of the digital resources in writing instruction with students in linguistic vulnerability. The method for obtaining the results has been interviews. The results show that all teachers are positive about the use of digital resources in writing lessons with students with linguistic vulnerability, however, they use digital resources to varying degrees. The interviewees see that students with linguistic vulnerability are helped by writing with the help of digital resources and they believe that students should have access to one computer per student. They also believe that student texts would be longer with digital resources. It emerges that a certain technological nuisance occurs and that the practicalities of its use make it difficult for teachers. A conclusion of this study is that teachers consider it important to alternate writing with paper and pen and digital resources because the computer can stop working, paper and pen are more accessible than computer and that it is good to practice fine motor skills and to create a personal handwriting.
