Bygg- och anläggningsbranschen har kompetensbrist, låga vinstmarginaler och är en av de mest olycksdrabbade branscher i Sverige. Byggarbetsplatser har ständiga förändringar och olika förutsättningar för att kunna leverera en bra slutprodukt och samtidigt upprätthålla en god arbetsmiljö. Bra arbetsmiljö och hälsofrämjande insatser leder till ökad attraktivitet på arbetsplatser, arbetsglädje, engagemang, effektivitet, produktivitet och lönsamhet. Genom ett systematiskt arbetsmiljöarbete (SAM) kan bättre arbetsmiljöer uppnås. Syftet med denna studie är att studera effekterna av en arbetsmiljöinsats på en byggarbetsplats genom förbättrad insikt och förståelse för hur de arbetstagarna ser på arbetsplatsens arbetsmiljö och SAM.Studien innehåller en fallstudie under en intervention i form av arbetsmiljöinsats. Mätning av antal inrapporterade riskobservationer samt en kvantitativ datainsamling har utförts genom en enkätundersökning där arbetsplatsens arbetstagare deltog både innan och efter arbetsmiljöinsatsen. Efter arbetsmiljöinsatsen visade resultaten att arbetstagarnas intresse minskade, kunskap upplevdes som större och delaktighet i frågor om arbetsmiljö och SAM minskade. Arbetstagarnas upplevelse av arbetsgivarens intresse för arbetsmiljö minskade medan den ökade för SAM. Arbetsplatsen fick in fler riskobservationer på kortare tidsperiod efter arbetsmiljöinsatsen jämfört med innan. Studien har bidragit med vetskap om att arbetsmiljöinsatser behöver pågå under längre tid och vara med omfattande för att förutsättningarna för byggarbetsplatsers arbetsmiljö ska bli bättre på de arbetsplatser där arbetstagarna upplever att arbetsmiljön redan är bra. / The construction industry has skills shortages, low profit margins and is one of the most unfortunate industries in Sweden. Construction sites have constant changes and different conditions to be able to deliver a good end product while should maintain a good working environment. Good work environment and health promotion efforts leads to more attractive workplaces, job satisfaction, commitment, efficiency, productivity and profitability. Systematic Work Environment Management (SWEM) can achieve better working environments. The purpose of this study is to study the effects of a work environment initiative on a construction site through improved insight and understanding of the workers perspective for the workplace's work environment and SWEM.The study includes a case study during an intervention in the form of work environment initiative. Measurement of the number of reported risk observations and a quantitative data collection has been carried out through a survey in which workers at the workplace participated both before and after the work environment initiative. After the work environment intervention, the results showed that the interest of workers decreased, knowledge was perceived as greater and participation in issues related to the work environment and SAM decreased. The employee's experience of the employer's interest in the work environment decreased while it increased for SWEM. The workplace received more reported risk observations during a shorter period after the intervention compared to before. The study has contributed with the knowledge that work environment initiative needs to last for a longer period and be more extensive to improve the conditions for the work environment at construction sites workplaces that workers feel that the work environment is already good.
