Previous issue date: 2012-10-24 / This article presents a qualitative research conducted with a group of twenty five children (seventeen girls and
eight boys), students of the 4TH grade of municipal elementary school in the city of Pelotas (RS). The study
aimed to understand how children narrate their childhood in this social space, as well as the routines that are
present in the place / time / space of childhood surveyed. The categories games, spaces and periods were
captured from drawings produced by the children. The drawings allowed us to know the social, cultural and
family environments of children, in the sense of saying them as carriers and creators of culture / Este artigo apresenta uma pesquisa qualitativa realizada com uma turma vinte e cinco crianças (dezessete
meninas e oito meninos), alunos da 4ª série do Ensino Fundamental de uma escola municipal na cidade de
Pelotas (RS). A investigação buscou compreender como as crianças narram suas infâncias neste espaço social,
bem como as rotinas que se apresentam no lugar/tempo/espaço das infâncias pesquisadas. As categorias brincadeiras, espaços e tempos foram captadas a partir de desenhos produzidos pelas crianças. Os desenhos permitiram conhecer os entornos sociais, culturais e familiares das crianças, no sentido de afirmá-las como portadoras e criadoras de cultura
