Previous issue date: 2015-05-04 / Conselho Nacional de Desenvolvimento Cient?fico e Tecnol?gico (CNPq) / O futebol ? um fen?meno social que se reveste de import?ncia significativa nas sociedades contempor?neas em raz?o de sua manifesta??o midiaticamente espetacularizada e da sua popularidade em grande escala. Para os prop?sitos desta disserta??o, interessa apreender os torcedores como indiv?duos, numa rela??o de interdepend?ncia com o coletivo (torcida), para quem o futebol transcende a partida em si para tornar-se uma pr?tica que, mantendo v?nculos com o universo futebol?stico, apresenta impacto em diversos aspectos da vida cotidiana. A nossa reflex?o parte do pressuposto de que o universo simb?lico do futebol supera largamente os fatos sociais ocorridos nos est?dios. Sendo assim, os aportes te?ricos de an?lise utilizados foram o conceito de jogo (CAILLOIS, 2001; HUIZINGA, 2005) como elemento cultural de natureza simb?lica que se reveste de fundamental import?ncia para as rela??es sociais a partir de pr?ticas cotidianas como um modo de a??o do indiv?duo, embora seja utilizado o conceito de esporte para tratar do futebol, e as no??es de fascina??o (GUMBRECHT, 2007), pertencimento e imagens simb?licas, como caracter?sticas elementares do processo de constru??o social dos torcedores. Sendo o objetivo principal de a pesquisa investigar como se constr?i socialmente os torcedores do clube de futebol ABC F.C. de Natal/RN na atualidade, o recurso metodol?gico adotado foi uma descri??o anal?tica dos diversos tipos de torcedores Abecedistas, consistindo na realiza??o de entrevistas semiestruturadas, aplica??o de question?rios on line e pela observa??o participante em algumas partidas do ABC F.C. no est?dio, no r?dio e na TV entre os anos de 2014 e 2015. Por fim, consideramos como resultados, que o poss?vel surgimento hist?rico-social do torcedor de futebol aliado ? singularidade do indiv?duo que torce atualmente, verificado na realidade emp?rica dos Abecedistas, aponta para uma necessidade l?dica cotidiana do torcer no futebol, numa perspectiva de ressignifica??o da tipologia dos torcedores afetada pela m?dia (SILVERSTONE, 2011). / Football is a social phenomenon that covers itself of considerable importance in contemporary societies because of its spectacular manifestation by the media as well as its popularity in large scale. For purposes of this dissertation, we are interested in learn fans as individuals in an interdependente relationship with the collective the crowd for whom football transcends the game itself to become a practice, which by
keeping links with the football universe, presents impacts in many aspects of everyday life. Our reflection assumes that the symbolic universe of football greatly exceeds the social events occurred in stadiums. Thus, one of the theoretical contributions of analysis used were the concept of game (CAILLOIS, 2001;
HUIZINGA, 2005) as a cultural element of symbolic nature that covers itself of fundamental importance for social relations based on everyday practices as an individual action mode. However, it is also used the concept of sports to address football, the fascination notions (GUMBRECHT, 2007), belongings, and symbolic images as basic characteristics of the process of social construction of fans. As the main objective of the research is to investigate how the fans of ABC Football Club from Natal, RN are built nowadays, the methodological approach adopted was an analytical description of the many types of ABC fans by conducting semi-structured interviews, applying online questionnaires and observing some matches at the stadium, on radio, and on TV during the years of 2014 and 2015. In conclusion, we consider as results the possible social and historical emergence of the football fan combined with the uniqueness of the individual who currently supports verified in empirical reality of ABC fans that points to a ludic need for everyday support in football, a reframing perspective of the typology of the fans affected by the media (SILVERSTONE, 2011).
