Para lcançarmos nossos objetivos, primeiramente retratou-se a importância que a atividade têxtil exerceu no Brasil desde sua gênese, analisando características desta indústria nem sua evolução e contexto econômico atual. Verificou-se também, a influência da indústria de confecção (mais precisamente a de confecção de peças do vestuário) no Estado de Santa Catarina, para que, a partir desta, possamos fazer correlações entre esta atividade econômica
em nível estadual e regional. Em seguida, trabalhou-se a economia da região Sul e suas características presentes na atividade têxtil de
confecção, principalmente a de peças do vestuário, e, como principal objetivo da elaboração deste estudo, a Indústria do Vestuário em Tubarão, sua gênese, importância econômica, e características mais relevantes da atualidade do município, procurando inserir a indústria têxtil de confecção de peças do vestuário no contexto social e econômico do município e de sua região.
It is intended with this work, after research and elaboration of quantitative and qualitative data, to supply elements that make possible analysis in relation to the industry of making of pieces of the clothing and their partner-space implications in the city of Tubarão Santa Catarina and area. For to reach our objectives, firstly the importance was portrayed that the textile activity exercised in Brazil since its beginning, also analyzing characteristics of this industry in the current economical context. It was also verified, the influence of the industry of confection (more precisely the one of confection of pieces of the clothes) in the State of Santa Catarina, so that, starting from this, we can make correlations among this economical activity in state and regional level. After that one worked economy of the South area and their present characteristics in the textile activity of confection, mainly the one of pieces of the clothing, and, as main objective of the elaboration of this study, the Industry of the Clothing in Tubarão, its genesis, economical importance, and more relevant characteristics of the present time of the city, trying to insert the textile industry of confection of pieces of the clothing in the social and economical context of the city and of its area.
