Objetivos: comparar si existen diferencias entre la eficacia del misoprostol (Cytotec) sublingual y la administración endovenosa de oxitocina en relación al tiempo de alumbramiento y las variaciones de hemoglobina en el postparto.
Material y métodos: Se incluyeron en el estudio 814 participantes quienes culminaron su gestación mediante parto eutócico en el HONADOMANI SAN BARTOLOMÉ de enero a mayo del 2007, de las cuales 408 pertenecieron al grupo misoprostol y 406 al grupo oxitocina. La variables analizadas fueron: la edad de la paciente, el número de gestaciones, la presentación de anemia, el tiempo de alumbramiento y el diferencial de hemoglobina en ambos grupos. Así mismo; se realizó un análisis de correlación lineal simple entre el tiempo de alumbramiento y el diferencial de hemoglobina y se aplicó la prueba T de student para comparar dichas variables en cada grupo de trabajo / To compare if there are differences between the sublingual misoprostol efficiency and the intravenous oxytocin administration relative to the delivery time and the postpartum hemoglobin variations.
Material And Methods:
814 parturient were included in the study that finished their pregnancy with eutocic delivery in the HONADOMANI SAN BARTOLOME (National Hospital San Bartolome) from January to May 2007 whom 408 belonged to misoprostol group and 406 belonged to oxytocin group. The variables analyzed were: age, number of pregnancies, patients affected by anemia, delivery time and the differential hemoglobin in both groups. Also, a simple linear correlation analysis was made between the delivery time and the differential hemoglobin and a Student’s t-test was applied to compare these variables in each work group
