3.743 km². Está inserido na mesorregião Centro Sul Baiano e microrregião de Vitória
da Conquista (regionalização do IBGE), encontrando-se dividido em 12 Distritos. O
objetivo deste trabalho é analisar as condições geoambientais do município e
apresentar uma proposta de Zoneamento Geoambiental que possa contribuir com o
seu planejamento. Para as análises das condições de estabilidade ambiental contouse
com os autores Tricart (1977), Bertrand (1971), Monteiro (2000), Ross (1995)
entre outros que têm seus trabalhos fundamentados na Teoria Geral dos Sistemas.
Para a realização do Zoneamento utilizaram-se técnicas de geoprocessamento,
interpretação visual de imagem de satélite, produção de mapas temáticos,
cruzamento de informações e trabalhos de campo, que deram origem à carta de
Unidades Geoambientais. A vulnerabilidade natural à erosão e as formas de
intervenção da sociedade nos ambientes foram as variáveis que subsidiaram a
análise das unidades delimitadas. A partir dessas informações, fez-se a
classificação ecodinâmica das unidades de acordo com as seguintes categorias:
ambientes estáveis, ambientes de transição (intergrade) e ambientes instáveis.
Essa classificação permitiu a elaboração de uma carta síntese que apresenta os
graus de estabilidade em que se encontra submetida cada unidade. Os resultados a
que se chegou demonstram que as unidades delimitadas na área de estudo
apresentam níveis variados de vulnerabilidade e que os problemas ambientais
observados estão associados tanto à capacidade de suporte do meio natural como
aos usos indiscriminados desses ambientes. Essas informações, juntamente com o
banco de dados (cartas temáticos e cartas sínteses do município, todas
georreferenciadas), podem contribuir na elaboração de futuros planejamentos para o
município. / ABSTRACT
The municipal district of Vitória da Conquista is located between the coordinates
14°30’ and 15°30’ South latitude and 40°30’ and 41°10’ longitude W. Gr, and it
occupies and area of 3.743 km²
. It is inserted in the mesoregion of Bahia South
Center and microregion of Vitória da Conquista (regionalization of IBGE), being
divided in 12 Districts. The objective of this work is to analyze the geoenvironmental
conditions of the municipal district and to present a proposal of geoenvironmental
zoning that can contribute its planning. In order to make the analysis of the
conditions of environmental stability this work was based on the authors as Tricart
(1977), Bertrand (1971), Monteiro (2000), Ross (1995) among others that have their
works founded on the General Theory of Systems. For the accomplishment of the
zoning it was used the techniques of geo-processing, visual interpretation of image of
satellite, production of thematic maps, crossing of informations and field works, which
gave rise to the map of Geo-environmental Units. The natural vulnerability to the
erosion and the forms of intervention of the society in the ambients were the
variables that guided the analysis of the delimited Units. With these informations, it
was made the ecodynamics classification of the units according to the following
categories: stable ambients of transition (intergrade) e unstable ambients. This
classification allowed the elaboration of a synthesis map that presents the degrees of
stability in which each unit is found submitted. The results achieved demonstrate that
the delimited units in the area of study show varied levels of vulnerability and that the
observed environmental problems are associated both to the capacity of support of
the natural way and to the indiscriminate uses of these ambients. These informations
together with the database (thematic map, synthesis maps of the municipal district,
all with geo-references) can contribute in the elaboration of future plannings to the
municipal district.
