Previous issue date: 2015-08-19 / This dissertation investigates AJA-Expansão Project, from 2001 to 2004, and its
objective is to rebuild the memories of the formative processes lived by the
individuals that took part in this experience promoted by the Municipal Secretary of
Education of Goiânia (SME). It is necessary to analyze this Project in terms of its
principles based on popular education and theoretical references, which contributed
to literacy practice. The main question of this work is: which memories and senses
are attributed by the individuals that took part in AJA-Expansão Project and its praxis
related to the theoretical and epistemological of popular education? This is a
qualitative research and based on bibliographic references of popular education as
well as on SME documents. The technics used were: interviews, narratives, history of
life, records and other sources that contributed for the investigation. Its democratic
management in favor of popular subjects distinguished AJA-Expansão Project. / Este trabalho investiga o Projeto AJA-Expansão no período de 2001 a 2004 com o
objetivo de reconstruir a memória dos processos formativos vivenciados pelos
sujeitos que participaram daquela experiência na Secretaria Municipal de Educação
de Goiânia. Considera-se necessário analisar o Projeto AJA-Expansão em termos de
sua fundamentação nos princípios da educação popular e dos referenciais que
subsidiaram as práticas de Alfabetização. O trabalho traz como questão central a
seguinte problemática: Quais as memórias e os sentidos atribuídos pelos sujeitos
que participaram do Projeto AJA-Expansão, em sua práxis, quanto à vinculação do
projeto aos fundamentos teóricos e epistemológicos da educação popular?
Buscou-se nesta pesquisa uma análise qualitativa do Projeto AJA-Expansão e de
sua fundamentação no campo da educação popular, a partir da revisão bibliográfica
do tema proposto e do levantamento dos documentos na SME acerca do Projeto.
Utilizou-se de técnicas investigativas como entrevistas, depoimentos e histórias de
vida, registros e outras fontes, que contribuíram para a investigação. Considera-se
que o Projeto AJA-Expansão foi marcado, durante esse período, pelo legado de uma
gestão democrática voltada às questões populares.
