Previous issue date: 2017-03-21 / This dissertation contains the analysis of three books of the Jewish-Italian, survivor of Auschwitz Primo Levi: If This Is a Man (1947), The Truce (1962) and The Drowned and the Saved (1986). The purpose of this research is to show the importance of the works of Primo Levi as a witness of the Shoah and how literature was the possible way he could find to narrate the horrors suffered as a form of denunciation and in the preservation of the memory and the gaps of the prisoners due to trauma of the event. The methodology used to compose the corpus of this study was the Discourse Analysis, especially in Michel Foucault, Dominique Maingueneau, Michel Pêcheux and Eni Orlandi to clarify the role of the subject, the scenario, paratopia and other concepts pertinent to DA. Other authors such as Paul Ricoeur, Gadamer, Arendt, Seligmann-Silva and Agamben were sought to contribute to a richer analysis of the Jewish prisoners who were hit by the Nazi anti-Semitic policy of the "Final Solution" and how they were hit in their future lives. / Esta dissertação contém a análise de três livros do judeu-italiano, sobrevivente de Auschwitz, Primo Levi: Se Isto É Um Homem (1947), A Trégua (1962) e Os afogados e os sobreviventes (1986). O objetivo desta pesquisa é mostrar a importância das obras de Primo Levi como testemunha da Shoah e como a literatura foi a maneira possível encontrada por ele para poder narrar os horrores sofridos como forma de denúncia e na preservação da memória e das lacunas dos prisioneiros devido ao trauma do ocorrido. A metodologia empreendida para compor o corpus deste estudo foi a Análise de Discurso, em especial, em Michel Foucault, Dominique Maingueneau, Michel Pêcheux e Eni Orlandi para esclarecer sobre o papel do sujeito, do cenário, da paratopia e outros conceitos pertinentes à AD. Buscou-se outros autores como Paul Ricoeur, Gadamer, Arendt, Seligmann-Silva e Agamben para contribuir com uma análise mais rica sobre os prisioneiros judeus que foram atingidos pela política antissemita nazista da “Solução Final” e como foram atingidos em suas vidas futuras.
