Previous issue date: 1990 / This research aims to comprehend how is biult the feminine identity of the women who take part within the Auxiliary Corp Feminine Reserve from of Brazilian Navy, through their biographical reports, allied to direct observation. These reports made clear that the Navy structure has a deep impact on many other social structures, these women's daily life, bringing to surface a big contradiction between a life meaning out and in the Navy Force. Implying a constant alive of ambiguit and marginality. One of the work's hypothesis, in this research, is that the building of military identity would occur through the rituals of passage, the basic focus of their live's story, what is confirmed by their reports. However, the majorit of these women experience the building the identity as a secreto To propose aneself that is due to Navy Force mechanism control and/or their internal need to preserve their illusions imaginations. It its to be assumed that if by any chance loose these illusions they wornel probably have face selves as stigmatized and they them-In fact, despite the ordinary characteristics given to us as a condition to inter the world, the lives' stories of all group members analysed, showed that each of them has an exclusive, different and unique world view; it is to believe that one could be mistaken if he thinks that the military women would be totally different from another one from another Institutions. / O objetivo desta pesquisa é compreender como se constrói a identidade feminina das mulheres que compõem o Corpo Auxiliar Feminino da Reserva da Marinha, através de relatos biográficos dessas mulheres e da observação direta. Esses relatos tornaram claro que a estrutura militar de Marinha teve um profundo impacto em outras estruturas sociais, da vida cotidiana dessas mulheres, fazendo emergir grande contradição entre o significado da vivência dentro da Marinha e fora da Marinha, o que implica urna vivência constante de ser ambíguo e marginal. Um dos pressupostos deste estudo é que a construção da identidade militar dá-se através dos ritos de passagem, foco básico das histórias de vidas das mulheres da Marinha, o que foi ratificado por meio dos relatos. No entanto, a maioria dessas mulheres experiência a construção da identidade como segredo, evitando assim, o confronto direto com seu Ser estigmatizado. Foi postulado que esse efeito talvez seja devido aos mecanismos de controle usados pela Marinha e/ou pelo desejo das mulheres de não verem destruídas suas ilusões e fantasias. Com efeito, não obstante as características comuns que nos são dadas ao ingressarmos no mundo, as histórias de vida dessas mulheres, demonstraram que o mundo de cada uma delas e diferente, exclusivo e único; e que cometeríamos um equívoco se as excluíssemos do grupo de outras mulheres, em outras Instituições Totais.
