Defesa: Curitiba, 16/04/2015 / Inclui referências : fls. 168-182 / Resumo: Para o constructo do tema Infância e Turismo, a partir, sobretudo, do olhar de crianças residentes em um lugar turístico, no presente trabalho se dialoga com o aporte teórico da Geografia Humana, especialmente da Geografia Cultural e da Geografia do Turismo, além de se alicerçar nos postulados da Sociologia da Infância, bem como da própria Geografia da Infância. O objetivo principal da pesquisa foi o de investigar o binômio Turismo e Cotidiano, a partir da perspectiva de grupos de crianças residentes em Matinhos (PR), nomeadamente um lugar turístico de fluxo sazonal. A conformação teórica do presente trabalho abarca a evolução histórica do enfoque humano e cultural na Geografia; o turismo a partir de uma perspectiva geográfica, aprofundando-se nos temas do sentido de lugar e lugar turístico, do cotidiano e do turismo como prática social e a sua relação com o cotidiano do visitante e do visitado; a busca por uma humanização do turismo, situando o fenômeno como social e, essencialmente, humano; a abordagem da Infância, embasada nos estudos da Sociologia e da Geografia da Infância; e, por último, a relação Infância e Turismo. A pesquisa empírica foi a de natureza qualitativa e se realizou por meio de aplicação de questionário junto aos alunos do 5o ano, turmas A e B, de uma escola pública, bem como alunos do 5o ano de uma escola privada, ambas localizadas no município de Matinhos, além de formulário denominado "Diário", de entrevistas com as educadoras responsáveis pelas referidas turmas e de observações em sala de aula. Os resultados apontaram, a partir do olhar das crianças pesquisadas, uma complexa relação social estabelecida em face da vinda de turistas e visitantes, estruturando a tese que consiste na afirmação de que tais crianças têm percepções, sentimentos e opiniões consistentes quanto ao turismo, especialmente em se tratando de alterações em seu cotidiano com o advento do fluxo turístico de massa. Matinhos (PR). / Abstract: For the construct of Childhood and Tourism theme, especially from the perspective of children living in a tourist place, this essay dialogues with the theoretical support of Human Geography, particularly the Cultural Geography and Tourism Geography; it also focus on the postulates of the sociology of childhood and the geography of childhood. This research aims to investigate the binomial Tourism and Everyday Life from the perspective of two groups of children living in Matinhos (PR) focusing on the seasonality. The theoretical conformation of this paper covers the historical development of human and cultural approach in geography; tourism from a geographical perspective, with emphasis on themes of the sense of place and tourist place, everyday life and tourism as a social practice and the relationship between the visitors and the inhabitants. It also covers the search for a humanization of tourism, considering the phenomenon as social and essentially human; the approach of childhood, based on studies of sociology and geography of childhood; and, finally, the relationship between children and tourism. Empirical research was qualitative in nature and took place through a questionnaire to the students of the 5th year (A and B classes) of a public school as well as students of the 5th year of a private school, both located in the city of Matinhos, through a form called "Diary" and interviews with the teachers who are responsible for those classes and finally through observations in the classroom. The results showed, from the view of the children surveyed, a complex social relationship established due to tourists and visitor who visit the city - structuring the thesis that consists of the assertion that such children have consistent perceptions, feelings and opinions about tourism, especially when it deals with changes in their daily lives with the advent of tourism flow.
