Previous issue date: 2018-09-17 / Coordenação de Aperfeiçoamento de Pessoal de Nível Superior - CAPES / The increase of the elderly population, in the country and in the whole world, has contributed to significant changes in the economic, cultural and political scenario of Brazil. Changes that influence not only the present and our daily life, since many occurred as a reflection of the past, which interfered and changed the life, history and memories of countless old people who, as young people, fought, faced and defended that which they believed was the way to get to the political landscape we have today. Old people who were part of the democratic construction that governs our political system in the present, through resistance against one of the historical periods known as the lead years, the civil-military dictatorship. Thus, through the retrieval of these stories and memories, the main objective of this research is to identify the importance of the memories of old people who once struggled against the civil-military dictatorship in Brazil, as well as to show the importance of a study that considers individuals elderly people as protagonists of works on the theme of "civil-military dictatorship" and their respective memories of a past of intense political, economic and social upheavals that in some way influenced the life of these militants of the time, who are now elderly. , also, presents the importance of rescuing these memories and giving voice to those old people who are often excluded and marginalized due to a culture in which the elderly are not valued. It is a documentary research and bibliographic review, in which the data collection was developed in the period from August 2017 to February 2018, in which scientific productions were identified, as well as magazines, newspapers, documentaries, public collections, such as the Memorial of the Resistance of São Paulo and the National Commission of the Truth on the thematic of stories of people who fought against the civil-military dictatorship, and that today they are considered old. Finally, it is possible to reflect on the importance of hearing and recording stories and memories like these and to show how much the period of civil-military dictatorship still interferes in the lives of these elderly people who seek, in different ways, to fight and face the traumas and the pains of the past / O aumento da população idosa, no país e em todo mundo, tem contribuído para que haja mudanças significativas no cenário econômico, cultural e político do Brasil. Essa constatação se deve às influências observadas não somente no presente e nosso cotidiano, mas também em relação as que ocorreram como um reflexo do passado, o qual interferiu e mudou a vida, a história e as memórias de inúmeros velhos que, quando jovens, lutaram, enfrentaram e defenderam aquilo que acreditavam ser o caminho para que chegássemos ao cenário político que temos hoje. Velhos que fizeram parte da construção democrática que rege nosso sistema político no presente, por meio da resistência contra um dos períodos históricos conhecido como os anos de chumbo, ou seja, a ditadura civil-militar. Dessa forma, por meio do resgate dessas histórias e memórias, a presente pesquisa traz como principal objetivo identificar a importância das memórias de idosos que outrora lutaram contra a ditadura civil-militar no Brasil, bem como mostrar a importância de um estudo que considere os indivíduos idosos como protagonistas de trabalhos com a temática “ditadura civil-militar” e suas respectivas memórias de um passado de intensas agitações políticas, econômicas e sociais que influenciou, de alguma forma, a vida desses militantes da época, que hoje são idosos, Além disso, também, apresenta a importância de resgatar essas memórias e dar voz a esses velhos que, muitas vezes, são excluídos e marginalizados por decorrência de uma cultura em que não se valoriza o idoso. Trata-se de uma pesquisa documental e revisão bibliográfica, em que a coleta de dados foi desenvolvida no período de agosto de 2017 a fevereiro de 2018, na qual foram identificadas produções científicas, bem como revistas, jornais, documentários, acervos públicos, como o Memorial da Resistência de São Paulo e a Comissão Nacional da Verdade sobre a temática de histórias de pessoas que lutaram contra a ditadura civil-militar, e que hoje são consideradas idosas. Finalmente, pode-se refletir sobre a importância de dar voz a esses velhos e registrar suas histórias e memórias, mostrando o quanto o período da ditadura civil-militar ainda interfere na vida desses idosos que procuram, de diferentes maneiras, lutar e encarar os traumas e as dores do passado
