problematic in Latin America is argued according to it helps to clarify the forms of
interaction between governments and involved politics of immigration in Latin
America with the Mercosul and, more specifically, at the Brazil-Paraguay relationship
and the easier factors of this immigration. The methodology applied on the field
research uses the trajectory of the live history of these immigrants, disclosed with the
application of pilot research, where we enclose differentiated professions and social
level, but related, whenever possible, the agricultural area and the soy culture, we
still search, by means of half-structuralized interviews and carried through in loco the
deepening of this knowledge / Este estudo focaliza famílias de imigrantes brasileiros que saíram do Brasil a partir
dos anos de 1970, com destino específico a um país fronteiriço - o Paraguai. Esses
brasileiros, que às vezes são chamados de brasiguaios ou como se auto-intitulam e
são realmente conhecidos no Paraguai, são indivíduos que iniciaram o processo
migratório naquele período e que ali permanecem até os dias de hoje, encontrandose
alguns na terceira geração, dedicando-se ao trabalho rural e à cultura da soja nas
regiões do Alto Paraná, Canindeyú e Tapúa, locais de maior concentração de
brasileiros imigrantes. Com o objetivo de ampliar o conhecimento sobre o modus
vivendi desses brasileiros e das gerações que se sucederam, uma vez que o
processo migratório intensificou-se ao longo dos últimos anos, analisa-se como
ocorreu a sua formação familiar, a adaptação aos costumes e à cultura local. A
problemática do Mercosul e da globalização na América Latina é discutida na
medida em que ajuda a esclarecer as formas de interação entre governos e políticas
de imigração na América Latina e no Mercosul e, mais especificamente, no
relacionamento Brasil-Paraguai. A metodologia aplicada na pesquisa de campo
utiliza a trajetória da história de vida desses imigrantes, revelada com a aplicação de
pesquisa-piloto, onde encontramos profissionais de níveis sociais diferenciados, mas
relacionados geralmente, à área rural e ligados pela cultura da soja. Buscamos,
ainda, mediante entrevistas semi-estruturadas e realizadas in loco aprofundar o
conhecimento desse processo migratório
