Previous issue date: 2001-08-01 / Coordenação de Aperfeiçoamento de Pessoal de Nível Superior / Os experimentos foram conduzidos na Universidade Federal de Viçosa, no período de junho de 2000 a maio de 2001, visando estudar características de crescimento, fenologia e fitoquímica da espécie Porophyllum ruderale (Jacq.) Cassini. O crescimento foi quantificado pela área foliar, matéria fresca e seca da parte aérea, número de nós e altura da planta. Na caracterização fenológica determinou-se o número de folhas, o número de glândulas foliares e o número de botões florais. O acompanhamento fitoquímico, visando o óleo essencial e o tanino, foi feito em duas épocas do ano. No primeiro experimento (junho a outubro de 2000) realizou-se a colheita em três horários (7, 13 e 18 horas) seguida da análise fitoquímica. No segundo experimento (fevereiro a maio de 2001) realizou-se a colheita em cinco épocas, também seguida de análise fitoquímica. As folhas frescas de cada parcela (horários e épocas de colheita) foram submetidas à extração de óleo essencial por meio de destilação a vapor em aparelho Clevenger modificado. O óleo essencial foi analisado em cromatógrafo a gás. No período de pré-floração, o conteúdo de óleo essencial das folhas foi maior do que quando comparado com as outras fases da planta. Nos botões florais, o teor foi maior na fase de floração. O óleo essencial foi composto de mistura complexa de terpenos, de acordo com os tempos de retenção e as massas moleculares dos compostos analisados. O maior teor de tanino foi observado na colheita realizada às 18 horas (primeiro experimento) e aos 120 dias após o plantio (segundo experimento). Houve aumento contínuo do teor de tanino com o desenvolvimento das plantas. / The experiments were conducted in the Federal University of Viçosa, during the period of June 2000 to May 2001, aiming to study the characteristics of growth, phenology and phytochemistry of Porophyllum ruderale specie. The growth was quantified by leaf area, fresh and dried matter of aerial part, number of rode and height of the plant. During the phenology, characterization of the number of leaves, leaf glands and flowers buds were determined. The phytochemistry accompaniment, aiming the essential oil and tannin, was done in two seasons of the year. The first experiment occurred from July to October 2000 (summer) and the harvest was done in three times (7 am, 1 pm, and 6 pm) followed by phytochemical analysis. The second experiment was done from February to May 2001 (winter) and the harvest occurred in five different ages of the plant, followed by the phytochemical analysis. The fresh leaves of each harvest (done by pre determinate time and by the age of the plant) were submitted to essential oil extraction using water vapor distillation by modified Clevenger equipment. The essential oil was analyzed using gas chromatography. During the pre flowering period, the essential oil content in the leaves was higher than in other periods of the plant’s life. In the flower bud, the higher production was in full flowering age. The essential oil was extracted by complex moisture of terpenes, according to the time of retention and molecular mass of the analyzed components. The higher concentration of tannin was observed when the harvest was done at 6 pm. (for the first experiment) and at 120 days after the sowing (for the second experiment). The concentration of tannin was continuous with the development of the plant. / Dissertação importada do Alexandria
