Previous issue date: 2017-12-08 / A presente pesquisa foi realizada com o objetivo de identificar os principais indicadores econômico-financeiros e sociais considerados na avaliação do desempenho das cooperativas agropecuárias do Estado de Minas Gerais. Para atender aos objetivos da pesquisa, foram analisadas 131 cooperativas que representam 62% das organizações cooperativas filiadas à OCB/OCEMG, no ano de 2012. Para avaliar o desempenho dessas organizações, foi utilizada a técnica estatística da análise fatorial, que permitiu identificar o nível de correlação entre os diversos indicadores, possibilitando agrupá-los em fatores. Foram realizados ainda os testes de esfericidade de Bartlett e KMO que confirmaram a adequação do uso da análise fatorial. Objetivando aumentar o poder de explicação do modelo, foi retirado o indicador com baixo nível de relacionamento com os demais indicadores, atingindo um melhor nível de adequação ao modelo. Os resultados obtidos permitiram identificar cinco fatores formados a partir de 14 indicadores iniciais explicando 83,5% da variância total dos dados. Os cinco fatores foram classificados como “Estrutura”, “Participação do Associado”, “Pessoal”, “Quadro Social” e “Capital e Risco e Rentabilidade”. Utilizando os escores fatoriais dos cinco fatores aplicou-se a análise de cluster estabelecendo uma caracterização das cooperativas agropecuárias e sua distribuição espacial. Foram identificados três grupos que representam o conjunto de cooperativas no presente estudo. Conclui-se que o uso da análise fatorial, em relação às cooperativas agropecuárias, permite uma maior segurança na escolha dos indicadores e a formação de um menor número de variáveis sem perder o seu conteúdo informacional, possibilitando de forma efetiva a análise de desempenho das cooperativas agropecuárias. / The present research was carried out with the objective of identifying the main economic-financial and social indicators considered in the evaluation of the performance of agricultural cooperatives in the State of Minas Gerais. In order to meet the research objectives, 131 cooperatives representing 62% of OCB/OCEMG, 2012 affiliated cooperative organizations were analyzed. To evaluate the performance of these organizations, the statistical technique of Factor Analysis was used to identify the level correlation between the different indicators, making it possible to group them into factors. The Bartlett and KMO sphericity tests were also performed, confirming the adequacy of the use of Factor Analysis. In order to increase the explanatory power of the model, the indicator with a low level of relationship with the other indicators was withdrawn and reaching a better level of adequacy to the model. The results obtained allowed to identify five factors formed from fourteen initial indicators, explaining 83.5% of the total data variance. The five factors were classified as: "Structure"; "Member Participation"; "Cooperative Stuff"; "Number of Cooperative Member" and "Capital and Risk and Profitability". Using the factorial factor scores of the five factors the cluster analysis was applied, establishing a characterization of agricultural cooperatives and their spatial distribution. Three groups were identified, representing the set of cooperatives in the present study. We concluded that the use of Factor Analysis, in relation to agricultural cooperatives, allows a greater security in the choice of indicators, and the formation of a smaller number of variables without losing its informational content, effectively making analysis of performance of agricultural cooperatives.
