Previous issue date: 2015-07-03 / Coordenação de Aperfeiçoamento de Pessoal de Nível Superior / Esta dissertação tem intuito de abordar o memorialismo e as questões do nacionalismo presentes na obra Lendas e Narrativas de 1851, escrita pelo autor português Alexandre Herculano. Para isso foram analisados no presente trabalho de pesquisa os contos O Alcaide de Santarém, A Dama pé-de-cabra, O Bispo Negro, Castelo de Faria e A Abóboda, apontando para a estrutura do tema e da linguagem do texto literário como objetos de estudo e não somente os aspectos formais da literariedade em si. Para isso, há uma reflexão sobre os entrecruzamentos, principalmente da ficção e da história a partir das teorias acerca do romance histórico, do romantismo português e da formação da memória em dialogo com a estrutura do raciocínio histórico do próprio autor. Bem como, a utilização das concepções de historicismo e medievalismo de Alexandre Herculano, acompanhados de reflexões e inferências acerca das fontes de estudos dos mesmos. / This dissertation aims to approach the memory and the nationality focus on Lendas e Narrativas published in 1851 and written by the Portuguese author Alexandre Herculano. The analysis of this research paper is focused on the stories O Alcaíde de Santarém, A Dama pé-de-cabra, O Bispo Negro, Castelo de Faria e A Abóboda, pointing to the thematic and language structures of the story as objects of study and not just the formal aspects of the literality by themselves. For this, I’ve reflected about the crossovers, mainly of the fiction and history through the historical novels, Portuguese romanticism and the formation of the memory, as well as the utilization of historicism concepts and medievalism from Alexandre Herculano, accompanied with reflections and inferences about the sources of their studies.
