Previous issue date: 2017-03-10 / Este trabalho objetiva investigar em qual est?gio de institucionaliza??o encontra-se o Instituto federal da Para?ba ? IFPB, Campus Jo?o Pessoa, quanto ? sustentabilidade organizacional. Para atingir seu objetivo geral, foram tra?ados tr?s objetivos espec?ficos, a saber: levantar o arcabou?o normativo sobre sustentabilidade da Institui??o; mapear as pr?ticas e/ou a??es relacionadas ? sustentabilidade no contexto da Institui??o; e analisar a percep??o dos gestores quanto ? conforma??o da sustentabilidade organizacional nas pr?ticas e nas a??es postas na Institui??o. Para isso, o estudo baseia-se na teoria de Tolbert e Zucker (1998), que subdivide o processo de institucionaliza??o em tr?s fases: habitualiza??o, objetifica??o e sedimenta??o. Quanto ? metodologia, trata-se de uma pesquisa qualitativa, com fins descritivo e explorat?rio, e de estudo de caso. Os dados foram coletados por meio da an?lise documental e de entrevistas semiestruturadas. Para analisar os dados da pesquisa, recorreu-se ? an?lise de conte?do. No que se refere ? verifica??o dos documentos legais e institucionais, constatou-se que houve proposi??o de a??es que visam promover a integra??o entre as dimens?es da sustentabilidade, pois o discurso do elaborador ? o de criar um ambiente prop?cio ao atendimento das demandas ambientais, sociais e econ?micas. Verificou-se, ainda, no ?mbito do Campus, que existem v?rias a??es institucionais em prol da tem?tica sustentabilidade e que essas a??es est?o sendo propostas para atender ?s tr?s dimens?es em certa conson?ncia com o que est? disposto nas diretrizes dos ?rg?os superiores. Referente ? busca de evid?ncias de isomorfismo e legitima??o na inser??o da sustentabilidade nas a??es da Institui??o, os resultados apontaram que, quanto ? legitimidade da tem?tica, ? leg?tima tanto no pilar normativo quanto no regulativo. Quanto ao fen?meno do isomorfismo, verificou-se que o isomorfismo coercitivo se destacou pela press?o legal para a forma??o de projetos que visam a??es sustent?veis na Institui??o e que a press?o coercitiva oriunda de institui??es legais do Minist?rio do Meio Ambiente (MMA) e do Minist?rio do Planejamento Or?amento e Gest?o (MPOG) teve bastante impacto. No que ? pertinente ?s an?lises do processo de institucionaliza??o, o estudo apontou para as perspectivas de que a tem?tica sustentabilidade, ainda que com certa dificuldade, ? pr?-institucionalizada nas a??es do IFPB - Campus Jo?o Pessoa - e que a op??o pela inser??o da tem?tica sustentabilidade nas a??es da Institui??o foi apontada como oriunda de uma exig?ncia legal, motivada para atender ao que foi considerado o imperioso legal para a sustentabilidade. / This paper aims to analyze in which institutionalization stage is the IFPB - Campus Jo?o Pessoa as the Organizational Sustainability. In order to achieve the general objective of this study, three specific objectives were drawn: to build up the normative framework on sustainability of the institution; Map the practices and/or actions related to sustainability in the context of the institution; Analyze the managers' perception regarding the conformation of organizational sustainability in the practices and actions put in the institution. Data collection was done through documentary analysis and semi-structured interviews and the processing used was content analysis. Based on the analysis of the results regarding the verification of the legal and institutional documents, it was verified, from the analysis of these documents, the proposal of actions aiming at the integration between the dimensions of sustainability, since the discourse of the elaborator is to create a Environment conducive to meeting environmental, social and economic demands. It was verified, within the Campus, the existence of several institutional actions in favor of the sustainability theme and even though these actions are being proposed to meet the three dimensions in a certain consonance with what is disposed in the guidelines of the higher bodies. Regarding the search for evidence of isomorphism and legitimacy in the insertion of sustainability in the actions of the institution, it was seen that as to the legitimacy of the theme, it is legitimated both in the normative and in the regulative pillar. Related to the phenomenon of isomorphism, it was verified that the coercive isomorphism was highlighted by the legal pressure for the formation of projects that aim at sustainable actions in the institution, and that coercive pressure from legal institutions of the Ministry of the Environment (ME) and Ministry of Budget, Planning and Management (MBPM), had a lot of impact. Regarding the analysis of the institutionalization process, the study pointed to the prospects that the sustainability theme, although with some difficulty, is pre-institutionalized in the actions of the IFPB, Campus Jo?o Pessoa and that the option for insertion of the sustainability theme in the actions the institution was pointed out as coming from a legal requirement, motivated to attend to what was considered the legal imperative for sustainability.
