Previous issue date: 2017-03-17 / Coordena??o de Aperfei?oamento de Pessoal de N?vel Superior (CAPES) / No Rio Grande do Norte, o cultivo da mandioca ocorre praticamente em todo o estado, possuindo import?ncia, inclusive, no ?mbito do seu processo de forma??o territorial. O beneficiamento da referida raiz nos dias atuais est? diretamente associado ? intensifica??o das rela??es estabelecidas entre a agricultura e a ind?stria, embora ainda com pouca expressividade, considerando as especificidades e a realidade do Rio Grande do Norte. Tais rela??es foram permeadas pelo processo de reestrutura??o produtiva e, diante da atual conjuntura econ?mica do Rio Grande do Norte, tendo em vista os rebatimentos dos processos econ?micos no territ?rio, pode-se afirmar que ocorreram mudan?as, sobretudo de car?ter t?cnico e organizacional, no setor mandioqueiro do estado, condicionando assim, a reestrutura??o do circuito espacial de produ??o da mandioca. Este processo deu-se de modo difuso, com perman?ncias e coexist?ncias de pr?ticas e rela??es sociais de produ??o; mas tamb?m de redefini??o das possibilidades e escalas de usos do territ?rio pelo referido circuito espacial produtivo, a partir do papel que passou a ter a mecaniza??o, sobretudo no que se refere ao beneficiamento da mandioca. Entende-se que as discuss?es sobre os circuitos espaciais de produ??o s?o essenciais no entendimento da centralidade da circula??o bem como no encadeamento das diversas etapas produtivas. Nesse sentido, a circula??o ganha destaque, demonstrando o car?ter essencial dos fluxos para a realiza??o da produ??o. Desse modo, o objetivo deste trabalho consistiu em investigar o circuito espacial e os c?rculos de coopera??o da produ??o agroindustrial de mandioca no Rio Grande do Norte, especialmente no que concernem os processos de produ??o, processamento, distribui??o e consumo de mandioca e seus derivados. A metodologia adotada para a elabora??o deste trabalho pautou-se na realiza??o de revis?o e pesquisa bibliogr?fica, pesquisa documental, bem como coleta e sistematiza??o de dados secund?rios, atrav?s de ?rg?os como IBGE, SEBRAE-RN e FIERN. A realiza??o da pesquisa de campo tamb?m foi um importante procedimento metodol?gico, uma vez que permitiu conhecer, a partir da base emp?rica, as diferentes realidades vivenciadas pelos agentes que atuam no circuito espacial de produ??o agroindustrial de mandioca no Rio Grande do Norte. As an?lises empreendidas revelam a aus?ncia e/ou inefic?cia de pol?ticas p?blicas destinadas ? agricultura familiar, especialmente para o universo de produtores vinculados ao circuito espacial de produ??o agroindustrial de mandioca, bem como se observa fragilidades e limites nas a??es que poderiam fomentar o fortalecimento e a pr?pria dinamiza??o do referido circuito espacial produtivo. / In the state of Rio Grande do Norte, cassava cultivation occurs practically throughout the state, having importance even within the scope of its territorial formation process. The beneficiation of this root in the present day is directly associated with the intensification of the relations established between agriculture and industry, although still with little expressiveness, considering the specificities and the reality of Rio Grande do Norte. These relations were permeated by the process of productive restructuring and, given the current economic situation of Rio Grande do Norte, in view of the refutation of the economic processes in the territory, it can be affirmed that there were changes, mainly of a technical and organizational nature, in the sector Mandioqueiro of the state, thus conditioning, the restructuring of the space circuit of cassava production. This process occurred in a diffuse way, with permanences and coexistence of practices and social relations of production; But also to redefine the possibilities and scales of land use by the said productive space circuit, from the role that started to have mechanization, especially with regard to the processing of cassava. It is understood that the discussions about space production circuits are essential in understanding the centrality of the circulation as well as in the chain of the various stages of production. In this sense, circulation gains prominence, demonstrating the essential character of the flows for the realization of production. Thus, the objective of this work was to investigate the spatial circuit and the cooperation circles of cassava agroindustrial production in Rio Grande do Norte, especially regarding the processes of production, processing, distribution and consumption of manioc and its derivatives. The methodology adopted for the elaboration of this work was based on the revision and bibliographical research, documentary research, as well as collection and systematization of secondary data, through organs such as IBGE, SEBRAE-RN and FIERN. The field research was also an important methodological procedure, since it allowed to know, from the empirical basis, the different realities experienced by the agents that act in the spatial circuit of cassava agroindustrial production in Rio Grande do Norte. The analyzes carried out reveal the absence and / or inefficacy of public policies aimed at family agriculture, especially for the universe of producers linked to the space circuit of cassava agroindustrial production, as well as weaknesses and limits in the actions that could promote the strengthening and dynamics of the said productive space circuit.
