Previous issue date: 2015-08-31 / Conselho Nacional de Desenvolvimento Científico e Tecnológico (CNPq) / A Dissertação tem como objeto a análise da produção intelectual e política no âmbito do Serviço Social brasileiro sobre a questão da diversidade sexual. A temática é fundamental para o Serviço Social, especialmente, após a década de 1990, momento de elaboração de uma concepção ética a partir dos fundamentos ontológicos-históricos da profissão. A realização do referido estudo implicou a necessidade de apropriação do objeto analisado além da aparência, elencando suas características centrais, possibilidades e desafios. Para isso, utilizamos como estratégias de investigação a análise bibliográfica e documental. Foram analisadas as tendências teórico-políticas da produção intelectual, a partir dos anais dos encontros nacionais mais expressivos da categoria (CBAS e ENPESS), dos documentos do CFESS e periódicos relacionados à temática. O recorte temporal analisado para fins da pesquisa compreendeu um intervalo de vinte anos (1993-2013), sendo priorizados os anos de 1993, 2003 e 2013, ou, quando não coincidiam, o período que mais se aproximava, e artigos cujos títulos apresentavam um ou mais dos seguintes termos: “Orientação Sexual”, “Diversidade Sexual”, “LGBT”, “Lésbica”, “Gay”, “Bissexual”, “Travesti”, “Transexual”, “Transgênero” e “Homossexual”. A partir do estudo, considerando 30 artigos, foram identificadas duas tendências: (1) possui como característica principal o entendimento de que os direitos e as políticas públicas conquistadas nos embates entre os movimentos sociais LGBT e o Estado são necessários enquanto mediações para a construção de uma sociabilidade em que a diversidade sexual seja vivida livremente; e (2) diversa, mas o que a unifica, ou ainda, o que vai torná-la identificável é o seu horizonte de lutas: o vislumbre do MPC como o único possível. Os resultados desta pesquisa indicam, ainda, que reconhecer a produção intelectual acerca da diversidade sexual enquanto uma gota no oceano, ou seja, que é pouco expressiva, pode causar a impressão de que ela não é necessária; porém, o nosso trabalho vem mostrar justamente o contrário. Um dos desafios é justamente o aprimoramento da discussão entre os sujeitos envolvidos/as cotidianamente na formação e no exercício profissionais. / This work aims to analyze the intellectual and political production in the Brazilian Social Work on the sexual diversity issue. This subject is fundamental to the social work, especially after the 1990s, when was developed a conception of ethics from the historical-ontological background in the profession. The accomplishment of this study implied the necessity of appropriation of the object analyzed besides the appearance, listing its central characteristics, possibilities and challenges. For this, we use bibliographic and documentary analysis as research strategies. The theoretical and political tendencies of intellectual production were analyzed from the annals of the most significant national meetings of the category (CBAS and ENPESS), CFESS documents and periodicals related to the theme. The analyzed time frame for the purposes of this research covered a period of twenty years (1993 - 2013), where the years of 1993, 2003 and 2013 were priorized, or, when they did not coincide, the period that comes closest and articles whose titles presented one or more of the following terms: "Sexual Orientation", "Sexual Diversity", "LGBT", "Lesbian", "Gay", "Bisexual", "Transvestite", "Transgender", "Transsexual" and "Homosexual. From the study, considering 30 articles, two main ideas were identified: 1) one that has as main characteristic the understanding that the rights and the public policies conquered in the clashes between the LGBT social movements and the State are necessary as mediations for the construction of a sociability in which the sexual diversity can be lived freely; and (2) another one that is diverse but is identified by its horizon of struggle: the seeing of the capitalist mode of production as the only one possible. The results of this research also indicate that recognizing the intellectual production of sexual diversity while a drop in the ocean, ie, that is not expressive, may give the impression that it is not necessary; However, our work shows just the opposite. One of the challenges is exactly the improvement of the discussion between the subjects involved daily in the professional practice and formation.
