Previous issue date: 2015 / Esta dissertação pretende problematizar a situação de invisibilidade e falta de reconhecimento da mulher no meio rural, através da reflexão das possibilidades de superação de sua condição aos olhos da sociedade e da própria família rural. Para tanto, foi proposta a adoção de uma nova perspectiva analítica dentro do âmbito da sociologia rural que pudesse priorizar os aspectos multifuncionais da agricultura, com o objetivo de ir além das abordagens de orientação meramente produtivista, oriundas da visão econômica dominante. Os efeitos diretamente percebidos da invisibilidade das mulheres estão relacionados com a caracterização das agricultoras como "ajudantes" na produção agrícola. Assim, também, pela absoluta falta de reconhecimento das tarefas realizadas no âmbito privado, relacionadas aos trabalhos doméstico e de care e de suas atuações na produção para autoconsumo - que englobam os trabalhos com as casas, hortas, pomares e quintais - que apesar de serem essenciais para a manutenção da vida, para a reprodução biológica e social e para o bem-estar, são consideradas atividades inerentes do "ser mulher" e, por este motivo, não são passíveis de reconhecimento. Em relação aos procedimentos metodológicos utilizados no campo empírico realizei entrevistas semi-estruturadas com 18 agricultoras integrantes do Movimento de Mulheres Camponesas (MMC), residentes no município de Quilombo na região oeste de Santa Catarina. Por meio dos resultados obtidos em campo, pude verificar que as agricultoras têm papel fundamental no que concerne à manutenção e reprodução social da agricultura familiar, uma vez que as suas atividades cotidianas estão relacionadas integralmente às suas famílias e a seus estabelecimentos agrícolas. Nesta perspectiva, a lente da multifuncionalidade funciona como uma poderosa ferramenta que possibilita visibilizar o papel da mulher no campo, principalmente porque contribui para evidenciar as atividades agrícolas de cunho não produtivo. Neste movimento, encontramos novas possibilidades de reinterpretação e ação para as mulheres no meio rural.<br> / Abstract : This dissertation aims to discuss the situation of invisibility and lack of recognition of women in the rural environment, through the reflection of the possibilities of overcoming their condition to the eyes of society and to the rural family itself. Therefore, it was proposed the adoption of a new analytical perspective within the context of rural sociology that could prioritize the multifunctional aspects of the agriculture, in order to go beyond the merely production-oriented approaches, arising from the dominant economic vision. The effects directly perceived of the women invisibility are related to the characterization of them as "helpers" in the production of the agriculture. As well as the absolute lack of recognition of the tasks performed in the private sphere, related to the domestic and care works and their performances in the production for self-consumption, which includes work at the house, in the vegetable gardens, orchards and the garden itself, that although their essentiality for the maintenance of life, to the biological and social reproduction and the well-being, this activities are considered inherent of "being a woman" and ,as so, they are not eligible of recognition. Regarding the methodological procedures used in the empirical field I had made semi-structured interviews with 18 women farmers members of the Movimento das Mulheres Camponesas (MMC), residents in the municipality of Quilombo in the western of Santa Catarina state. By the results obtained in the empiric field, I could perceive that women farmers play a fundamental role regarding the maintenance and social reproduction of family farming, since their daily activities are integrally related to their families and to their farms. In this perspective, the analytical lens of the multifuncionality of the agriculture acts as a powerful tool that enable to visualize the role of women in the rural environment, mainly because it helps to highlight the non-productive nature of the agricultural activities. In this movement, we find new opportunities for reinterpretation and action for women in the rural environment.
