Previous issue date: 2017 / O tema dessa pesquisa é a situação de silenciamento e opressão das personagens femininas do romance Sinfonia em branco, de Adriana Lisboa. A escolha para concretização do estudo decorreu do interesse em aprofundar os conhecimentos sobre a Crítica Literária Feminista, bem como os estudos pertinentes à literatura produzida no Brasil no século XXI. Essa pesquisa objetivou verificar e analisar a presença da situação de silenciamento das personagens femininas; identificar as possíveis causas do silêncio das personagens; analisar as possíveis situações de opressão e silenciamento das personagens e de seus opressores, descobrir a quem pertencem as vozes silenciadas na narrativa e investigar se há ou não um processo de libertação das vozes silenciadas e que elementos sinalizam isso na obra. Para responder as questões levantadas o estudo valeu-se de pesquisa acerca do tema do silêncio em obras literárias, pelo ponto de vista da crítica literária feminista, bem como de estudos sobre a literatura brasileira contemporânea e a literatura produzida por mulheres.<br> / Abstract : The theme of this research is the female characters? oppression and silencing situation in the novel Symphony in White, by Adriana Lisboa. The choice to carry on this research was due to the interest in deepening the knowledge on both of Feminist Literary Criticism and also on the relevant studies of the Brazilian literature produced by the XXI century. This research aimed to verify and analyze the presence of female characters? silencing situation; to identify the possible causes of characters? silence; to analyze the possible situations of oppression and silencing of the characters and their oppressors, find out who owns the silenced voices in the narrative and investigate whether there is a process of the silenced voices? liberation and which elements indicate that in the novel. In order to answer the questions raised this study took advantage of literature about the silence theme in literary works, from the viewpoint of feminist literary criticism, as well as theoretical research on contemporary Brazilian literature and its features.
