Através de instrumentos da Lingüística de Corpus, pretende-se descrever o padrão de uso desse item do português brasileiro, ou seja, o padrão de regularidade nos tipos de associações a que se submetem essas palavras. O objeto principal da pesquisa centra-se no padrão que nem, locução conjuntiva comparativa, pois se tenciona verificar se esse item lexical, recorrente na modalidade oral da língua, é também recorrente em textos extraídos da língua escrita e, em sendo, em que gêneros textuais aparece comumente. Para isso, serão extraídas de um corpus eletrônico as ocorrências autênticas do item lexical que nem, que serão comparadas com o que é mencionado em obras de referência, como gramáticas e dicionários e outros referenciais que apresentam o assunto, partindo dos padrões de sentido. A percepção inicial de limitações em obras de referência foi confirmada. A maneira pela qual o tema é tratado pelas gramáticas e dicionários nem sempre corresponde ao uso real da língua, porém a utilização de corpora como fonte de informação sobre essa mesma língua, constitui um grande recurso para investigar seu uso, possibilitando novas descobertas. Além disso, quando são utilizados recursos computacionais para a manipulação de dados, os resultados obtidos são mais confiáveis.
This paper presents a study about the lexical item que nem. Through the
instruments of Corpus Linguistics, we intend to describe the pattern of use of this item of the Brazilian Portuguese, in other words, the pattern of regularity in the types of association that the words submit. The main goal of the research is centered in the pattern que nem, comparative conjunctive locution, because we aim to verify if this lexical item that appears to the oral modality of the language happens in texts taken out of written language and, being so, in what textual gender it commonly appears. For this, the authentic occurrences of que nem will be extracted from an electronic corpus, which will be compared with what is mentioned in reference wo rks, such as grammars, dictionaries and other reference that present the subject, from patterns of meaning. The initial perception of the limitations in reference works was confirmed. The way the theme is treated by the grammars and dictionaries does not always correspond to the real use of language, but the using of corpora as resource of information about this same language constitutes a great resource to investigate the use, enabling new discoveries. Besides, when computing resources are used for the data manipulation, the results are more reliable.
