Procura salientar os aspectos estruturais das mudanças ocorridas no território focalizado, bem como as transformações físicas e sócio culturais que caracterizaram esta transformação. Para tanto realiza uma investigação sobre o conceito de paisagem, e sua inserção na memória e na história do lugar. Para a compreensão deste processo, optou-se por iniciar este estudo a partir da história e do desenvolvimento urbano da localidade. Uma série de entrevistas busca ilustrar os aspectos das transformações no local a partir dos anos 40. O cruzamento das informações colhidas com fotografias, mapas e levantamento cadastral, permitiu reconstruir e identificar etapas de seu desenvolvimento urbano. A pesquisa focaliza a ruptura com o modo de vida rural e inter-relaciona aspectos distintos que marcaram esta passagem da identidade rural à urbana na Lagoa: o econômico, o populacional e o fundiário. Em aspectos econômicos são focalizadas as mudanças no modo de vida dos habitantes; em aspectos populacionais a evolução quantitativa da população, assim como as mudanças no perfil do habitante; e em aspectos fundiários a questão de divisão e repartição das terras. A compreensão deste quadro de mudanças pode apontar alternativas para ajudar a compreender a lógica do crescimento da cidade.
This research draws on the metamorphosis of the landscape, that is, on the transformation of the present district of Lagoa da Conceição, located in Florianopolis, capital state of Santa Catarina. It attempts to enhance the structural aspects of the changes that took place at the identified territory, as well as the its physical, social and cultural changes. To do so, it carries out an investigation of the concept of landscape, as inscribed in the memory and history of this place. To enable this understanding, the option was to start this study by looking at the history of the urban development of the of the place. A series of interviews looks for disclosing the aspects of social and spatial change of Lagoa da Conceição from the 40s. The crossing of the collected information with photos, maps and ground plans allowed to reconstruct and to identify the stages of its urban development. This research focuses on the rupture with the rural life mode and inter relates distinct aspects that have marked the passage from rural to urban: the economic, the demographic and the land registry. The economic points to the changes in the way of life of the locals; the demographic shows the quantitative growth of the population as well as the changes in the inhabitants profile; the land registry focuses the issue of splitting and distribution of the land. To foresee the framework of these changes may raise alternatives and help to understand the logic of the city development.
