Para isso, dos sujeitos investigados, buscou-se inicialmente caracterizar tal profissão, relatar as trajetórias profissionais, descrever as transformações da utilização do tempo livre na trajetória de vida, antes e depois da aposentadoria e, finalmente, identificar as ações empreendidas pelos aposentados no seu cotidiano atual. Os participantes desta pesquisa são três Agentes da Polícia Federal aposentados, residentes em Florianópolis, do sexo masculino, com idade entre 50 e 55 anos. Foram escolhidos policiais federais aposentados por serem servidores públicos com características peculiares, tais como dedicação exclusiva, tempo integral, estabilidade e não manter vínculo empregatício com outra instituição. Os procedimentos para coleta de dados foram uma consulta documental, uma entrevista (semi-estruturada) e, para aprofundar o estudo, uma segunda entrevista (recorrente). A análise de dados foi realizada através da análise de conteúdo, sendo seis categorias criadas com base nas respostas dos entrevistados. Os respectivos temas emergentes foram: trajetória profissional e suas principais mudanças: primeiro emprego, ingresso na Polícia Federal, trajetória dentro da polícia, formação acadêmica, realizações e/ou frustrações profissionais; identidade de policial: processo de construção da identidade profissional, repercussões desta na família e no social, assim como possíveis transformações vivenciadas com o advento da aposentadoria; tempo livre antes da aposentadoria: ações cotidianas empreendidas nas horas livres (enquanto o sujeito estava na ativa); aposentadoria: experiência no processo de aposentadoria, desde o motivo da aposentadoria, perpassando pelas possíveis alterações familiares, sociais, emocionais, até o presente momento; tempo livre após a aposentadoria: experiências vivenciadas no tempo livre; genealogia: trabalho e tempo livre: trabalho e tempo livre dos familiares dos entrevistados. Os resultados encontrados indicam que para os sujeitos investigados o trabalho foi considerado central, levando-os a construir uma identidade mais estável, além de uma forte identificação com a profissão, resultando num sentimento de ambivalência na aposentadoria. Em relação às experiências vivenciadas no tempo livre enquanto estavam na ativa, apesar da fundamental importância do trabalho nas suas vidas, dois deles estabeleceram outras fontes e satisfação. Já no que se refere ao tempo livre como aposentado, destacam-se um maior convívio com a família, práticas esportivas e lazer. Não houve arrependimento por terem se aposentado, pois continuar trabalhando significava arriscar perder os benefícios da aposentadoria, arriscar a própria vida ou até mesmo tirar a vida de alguém. Não deixaram de apresentar sentimentos ambivalentes, além da elaboração do luto. Quanto ao tempo livre, houve uma mudança significativa na forma de vivenciar este nova fase, pois antes o dia-a-dia era emocionante, sem rotina, e hoje todos levam uma vida mais calma, muito unidos à família, desenvolvendo algumas atividades físicas. Afirmam que o tempo livre é um dos benefícios da aposentadoria. / This research aimed to identify how the Federal Policemen retired of Santa Catarina deal with their free time. For this, the subjects investigated, was sought initially characterize such profession, report the career paths, describe the changes of how to spend the free time in the path of life before and after retirement, and finally identify the actions taken by retirees in their current daily. The participants of this research are three retired agents of the Federal Police who live in Florianopolis, male, aged between 50 and 55 years. Were chosen retired Federal Policemen, because they are civil servants with special characteristics, such as exclusive dedication, full-time, stability and not keeping a job with another institution. The procedures for data collection were a consultation document, an interview (semi-structured), and to deepen the study, a second interview (recurrent). The data analysis was performed using content analysis, being six categories created based on responses from the interviewed: The emerging topics were: career path and its major changes: first job, joining the Federal Police, path in the police, training academic, achievements and / or professional frustrations; police identity: the construction process of professional identity, this impact on family and social, as well as possible changes experienced with the advent of retirement; free time before retirement: daily actions taken in hours free (while the subject was on active duty); retirement: experience in the retirement process, since the reason for retirement, traversing the possible family, social, emotional changes, until this moment; free time after retirement: experiences lived in their free time ; genealogy: work and free time: work and free time for family members interviewed. The results found indicate that, to the investigated subjects, the work was considered central, letting them build a more stable identity, and also a strong identification with the profession, resulting a feeling of ambivalence in the retirement. In relation to the experience lived in the free time while they were on active duty, even with the fundamental importance of the work in their lives, two of them established another source of satisfaction. In what refers to free time as a retiree, what detaches is spending more time with the family, practicing sports and leisure. There were no regrets for having retired, because keep working meant to risk losing the retirement benefits, risking their own life and also taking someone else#s life. They kept having some ambivalent feelings and grief process. In what refers to free time, there was a significant change in the way of living this new time, because before the day-by-day was full of #adrenaline#, without a routine, and today all of them live a calm life, close to the family, developing some physical activities. They recognize that the free time is one of the
retirement benefits.
