Para atingir o objetivo proposto, foi realizada uma pesquisa sobre a atuação da Frente Parlamentar Evangélica e dos seus membros durante toda a 53ª Legislatura. Foram analisadas todas as proposições apresentadas pelos parlamentares da FPE entre fevereiro de 2007 e dezembro de 2010, assim como suas atuações nas Comissões e votações. Também foi realizado um levantamento dos principais temas de interesse da FPE e sua atuação no sentido de obter conquistas políticas e benefícios materiais junto ao Estado. São discutidas, neste trabalho, questões referentes ao tipo de comportamento dos parlamentares da FPE, o nível de comprometimento desses parlamentares com os interesses dos evangélicos e a relação dos deputados com seus respectivos partidos políticos e igrejas. Por fim, realizou-se, com base nos resultados obtidos, uma reflexão sobre o papel dos evangélicos na política e as implicações da atuação deste grupo na atual democracia brasileira. / The main objective of this thesis is to analyze the political behavior of the Evangelical Parliamentary Front in the House of Representatives to contribute to the understanding of the role of this group in the legislative sphere. To accomplish this goal, we conducted a research about the performance of the Evangelical Parliamentary Front and its members throughout the 53th Legislature. We analyzed all proposals presented by the EPF`s parliamentarians since February 2007 until December 2010, as well as their behaviors in committees and voting. Was also carried out a survey about the main topics of interest to the EPF and its performance in order to obtain material benefits and political achievements within the State. Are discussed, in this paper, issues concerning the behavior of the EPF`s members, the level of the parliamentarian´s commitment with the evangelicals interests and the relationship between the members and their respective political parties and churches. Finally, there was, based on the results, a reflection about the role of the evangelicals in politics and the implications of the performance of this group in the currente Brazilian democracy.
