O negócio exige a implantação de sistemas suportados por modelos de gestão que garantam flexibilidade estratégica, a evolução tecnológica, a disponibilidade e a segurança da informação. Muito embora o avanço de equipamentos de Tecnologia da Informação e Telecomunicações seja constante e sempre mais inovador, o recurso humano ainda é a peça mais importante desse processo, pois é dele que depende o gerenciamento e a articulação que põe em marcha a engrenagem organizacional. O objetivo deste trabalho é analisar a articulação entre as áreas de Infraestrutura, de Tecnologia da Informação e de Telecomunicações de um Data Center, de modo a identificar seus efeitos no desempenho geral esperado. Para alcançar o objetivo, foi feita uma pesquisa de campo em um Data Center de uma empresa nacional, prestadora de serviços de telefonia, e os resultados apontaram: a necessidade de desenvolvimento de visão sistêmica, de visão compartilhada e de aprendizagem em grupo; estrutura apta a trabalhar com a missão crítica. O trabalho apresenta aplicações da missão crítica de infraestrutura nas melhores práticas identificadas no documento European Code of Conduct on Data Centers (2008). _______________________________________________________________________________________ ABSTRACT / The biggest challenge faced by technology companies is focused on adaptability to changes and the convergence of services. This requires the establishment of systems supported by models of management that ensure the strategic flexibility, the technological advances, the availability and the information security. Although, the constant advance and innovation of Information Technology and Telecommunications Equipments, the human resource still be the most important part of this process, because it is their responsibility to manage and coordinate the organization. The aim of this study is to analyze the relationship between the areas of Infrastructure, Information Technology and Telecommunications of the Data Center in order to identify their effects on overall performance expected. To achieve the goal, was made a field survey in a data center of a national company, that provides telephone services, and the results showed: the need for development of a systemic vision, of a shared vision and group learning; structure capable working with mission critical. This study also presents applications of mission critical infrastructure on best practices identified in the document European Code of Conduct on Data Centers (2008).
