2012_WaryKamaiura.pdf: 1347504 bytes, checksum: 3a811db73546920e5719975d0785f448 (MD5) / Esta dissertação apresenta uma comparação lexical do Awetí com o Kamaiurá, orientada pelos princípios, critérios e passos metodológicos do Método Histórico-Comparativo. Os dados, base da comparação, foram colhidos pelo próprio autor junto a falantes das duas línguas, o Awetí e o Kamaiurá, respectivamente a sua língua materna e a sua língua paterna. O objetivo principal deste estudo é a identificação do que são correspondências de origem genética entre as duas línguas. Com essa identificação pretendemos por um lado reunir mais elementos para a hipótese de Rodrigues de que o Awetí e o Tupi-Guaraní são resultantes da diversificação de um estágio comum, o Proto-Awetí—Tupí-Guaraní, que por sua vez teria se separado do ancestral do Proto-Mawé—Awetí—Tupí-Guaraní. A dissertação considera fundamentalmente os estudos comparativos sobre o Proto-Tupí de autoria de Rodrigues (1997, 1999, 2005, 2007, 2012), de Rodrigues e Cabral (2006, 2012), de Rodrigues, Cabral e Correa da Silva (2006), e de Correa da Silva (2011), nos quais o Awetí e as línguas Tupí-Guaraní são considerados em uma perspectiva histórica. É aqui ressaltada a necessidade de formação linguística de professores indígenas tanto para o fortalecimento dessas línguas, quanto para o conhecimento científico sobre elas e, mais importantemente, para o processo de autodeterminação dos povos que as falam. ______________________________________________________________________________________ ABSTRACT / This thesis presents a lexical comparison between the Awetí and the Kamaiurá languages oriented by the principles, criteria and methodological steps of the Comparative Method. The data basing the comparison were gathered by the author of this thesis among the native speakers of Awetí and Kamaiurá which are respectively the maternal and the paternal language of the author of the dissertation. The main objective of this study is the identification of lexical and sound correspondences between the two languages. With this identification we intend to contribute with more elements for the hypothesis of Rodrigues, according to which Awetí and Tupí-Guaraní are the results of the diversification of a common stage, the Proto-Awetí—Tupí-Guaraní, which on its turn would have been separated from the ancestral of Proto-Mawé—Awetí—Tupí-Guaraní. This dissertation considers the comparative studies on Proto-Tupí developed by Rodrigues (1997, 1999, 2005, 2007, 2012), Rodrigues and Cabral (2006, 2012), Rodrigues, Cabral and Correa da Silva (2006), and Correa da Silva (2011), in which the Tupí-Guaraní languages are considered in a historical perspective. The thesis emphasizes the need of linguistic formation of indigenous teachers, not only on behalf of the strengthening of their native language, but also for their scientific knowledge and, more importantly, for the process of auto-determination of the peoples speaking those languages.
