2011_JuliaCamaraCosta.pdf: 414308 bytes, checksum: ebe000b06d2628b9d967d6ba3e0e57db (MD5) / Esta dissertação tem como objetivo enriquecer a discussão a respeito da apocalíptica persa no que diz respeito ao mito das “idades do mundo” e seus eventuais paralelos com outras tradições. Para tal, utilizo-me de algumas fontes fundamentais para a pesquisa: os textos persas Zand ī Wahman Yasn (ZWY) - texto de conteúdo apocalíptico que apresenta em dois de seus capítulos, o 1 e o 3, o mito das “idades do mundo” representado em uma “árvore cósmica” - e Dēnkard; o livro judaico de Daniel (Dn); o texto indiano Mahābhārata; o Oráculo de Hystaspes, para citar alguns. No cap.1 apresento a tradição zoroástrica, que envolve o ZWY e demais textos persas utilizados na pesquisa. No cap.2, cerne da dissertação, o foco passa a ser o próprio ZWY e quatro de suas traduções, além de sua transcrição. Por fim, o capítulo 3 trata de textos indo-iranianos, em sua grande maioria, que ressaltam a importância de certos temas encontrados no ZWY. _________________________________________________________________________________ ABSTRACT / This dissertation aims to enrich the discussion about the Persian apocalyptic concerning the myth of the “ages of the world” and its eventual parallels to other traditions. In order to do that, I use some essential sources for the research: the Persian texts Zand ī Wahman Yasn (ZWY) – an apocalyptic text that presents in two of its chapters, the first and third, the myth of the “ages of the world” represented in a “cosmic tree” – and Dēnkard; the Jewish Book of Daniel (Dn); the Indian text Mahābhārata; the Oracle of Hystaspes, to mention a few. In chapter 1 I introduce the Zoroastrian tradition, wich envolves the ZWY and other Persian texts used in the research. In chapter 2, the core of the dissertation, the focus becomes the ZWY itself and four of its translations, as well as its transcription. At last, chapter 3 deals with Indo-Iranian texts, mostly, that emphasize the importance of certain themes found in the ZWY.
