Brasília é uma cidade moderna, criada sobre o signo das artes que traz em sua concepção as raízes culturais brasileiras; tradição e modernidade originando uma verdadeira narrativa do homo-brasiliensis. Por meio deste estudo procura-se identificar e evidenciar a presença de contadores de histórias e suas práticas no Distrito Federal. Nesta pesquisa couberam algumas indagações: Como se dá a atuação dos contadores de histórias no Distrito Federal? O que diferencia o contador moderno do contador tradicional? Quais as histórias ouvidas pelos narradores e em que contexto se deu esta prática? Qual a história deste território evidenciada pelos contos, mesmo antes da transferência da capital nacional? Essa narrativa, tecida sob a luz da história cultural, teve como fio condutor a metodologia da história oral e como aporte teórico a obra de Walter Benjamin, Walter Ong, Paul Ricoeur, Carlo Ginzburg, Sandra Pesavento e Câmara Cascudo, entre outros, por suas reflexões e estudos sobre tradição, modernidade, experiência, narrativa, oralidade, escritura, memória e história. As vozes dos contadores de histórias se transformam nesta pesquisa em fios, cardados1 pela memória de suas histórias de vida e descortina a existência de uma outra história para além da historiografia oficial, que insiste em mostrar uma Brasília sem História. Contar e ouvir histórias são práticas que devem ser estimuladas em nossa sociedade individualista. _______________________________________________________________________________________ ABSTRACT / Storytelling is a tradition that remains mainly through oral culture and has been re-signified by storytellers present in the capital city, the stage/scenario of this narrative. Brasília is a modern city, built under the signs of the arts, that brings in its conception much of the Brazilian cultural roots: tradition and modernity originating a true story of the homo-brasiliensis. This work piece intends to identify and evidence the presence of storytellers and their practices in the Distrito Federal area. Throughout this research some inquiries were brought about, such as: How does the storytellers act in the Distrito Federal area? What is the difference between the modern and the traditional storyteller? What were the stories heard by the narrators and in what context? What is the history about this territory evidenced by the tales, including those of the periods before the national capital was transferred to this area? The narratives created under the cultural history enlightenment was in a great sense wired by the storytelling methodology and supported by the masterpieces of Walter Benjamin, Walter Ong, Paul Ricoeur, Carlo Ginzburg, Sandra Pesavento e Câmara Cascudo, among others, and by their theoretical thoughts and studies over tradition, modernity, experience, narration, orality, writing, memory and history. In this research, the voices of the storytellers were transposed into wires roved by the memory of their own life history. It revels the existence of another history beyond the official historiography, that insists to present a Brasilia Without History. To tell and to listen to stories are practices that ought to be stimulated in our current individualist society.
