As questões que são discutidas em tais obras evocam questões relacionadas a políticas (de reconhecimento; de proteção a direitos; de segurança pública, entre outros) que tocam o Estado-nação timorense pós-independência. Fundado por Max Stahl, o CAMSTL age no campo audiovisual registrando o processo de
construção do Estado-nação timorense, salvaguardando os registros já existentes e capacitando pessoas para que estas possam continuar trabalhando com audiovisual. Os filmes realizados pelo Centro têm caráter documental e versam sobre questões políticas e sociais. Os vídeos aqui analisados são: Voices of the Poor, que aborda o tema do desemprego entre os
jovens timorenses; After the Victory, onde ex-combatentes do período da Resistência timorense reivindicam políticas públicas de reconhecimento, e; Women, Peace and Security, que trata do Centro Esperanca Ba Feto – Salele de proteção a mulher e fortalecimento de seus direitos. O campo em questão demanda uma série de reflexões que antecedem uma análise antropológica. O encontro entre a linguagem científica e a polissemia das imagens traz
desafios aos que enveredam para a reflexão acerca das interpretações evocadas por produções audiovisuais. Em seguida, é realizado um breve mapeamento do campo de produções audiovisuais em Timor-Leste, mediante a apresentação de alguns agentes e instituições
integrantes deste campo. Terminada esta etapa têm-se a descrição dos filmes aqui analisados. Após a descrição dos filmes são realizadas as reflexões acerca das narrativas construídas nos/pelos vídeos, contrastando-as com as desenvolvidas/apresentadas em textos acadêmicos sobre Timor-Leste e que tocam os mesmos temas. Tais reflexões evocam noções como o de tradução, reconhecimento e ética para compor a análise sobre as narrativas dos vídeos. _______________________________________________________________________________________ ABSTRACT / This dissertation deals with the analysis of three audiovisual productions conducted by the Audiovisual Center Max Stahl East Timor (CAMSTL). The issues that are discussed in these works evoke themes related to policies (recognition, protection of rights, public safety, among others) that approaches the Nation-State post-independence East Timor. Founded by Max Stahl, CAMSTL acts in the audiovisual field recording the process of building the nation-state of East Timor, safeguarding existing records and qualifying people to allow them to continue working with audiovisual. The films made by the Centre have documentary character and deal
with political and social issues. The videos are reviewed here: Voices of the Poor, which addresses the issue of unemployment among young Timorese, After the Victory, where ex-combatants of the period of the Timorese Resistance public policy claim for recognition, and,
Women, Peace and Security, which approaches the Centro Esperanca Ba Feto- Salele for the
protection of women and strengthening their rights. The field in question requires a series of reflections that precede an anthropological analysis. The meeting between scientific language and the polysemy of images brings challenges to entering certain to reflect on the interpretations mentioned by audiovisual productions. Next, we conducted a brief mapping of the field of audiovisual productions in East Timor, by presenting some of the agents and institutions comprising this field. The next step is the description of the films analyzed here.
After a description of the films are carried out reflections on the narratives constructed in/by the videos, contrasting them with the developed/presented in academic texts on East Timor and that address the same issues. Such reflections evoke notions such as translation, recognition and ethics to make the analysis of the narratives of the videos.
