Previous issue date: 2006 / A partir da compreensão de que, no contexto pós-moderno globalizado, as relações dos homens consigo mesmos, com o outro, com o mundo e com as artes se modificam, objetiva-se promover uma reflexão acerca da leitura da literatura, decorrente de uma pesquisa realizada com alunos e professores de Língua Portuguesa do ensino médio do Distrito Federal. Inicialmente faz-se uma contextualização histórico-sociológica do fenômeno da globalização, levando em conta o homem dentro desse universo. Em seguida, traça-se uma relação entre literatura e sociedade, avaliando as interferências das tecnologias e da indústria cultural na produção, circulação e recepção da obra de arte, particularmente, a literária. A partir de uma retrospectiva histórica, desde o período colonial até os Parâmetros Curriculares Nacionais, recupera-se a conformação da literatura ao currículo escolar e analisa-se o processo da leitura da obra em ambiente escolar. Procura-se também caracterizar o leitor do ensino médio em tempos de globalização, entendendo a leitura literária em uma perspectiva crítica, fundamental à formação da subjetividade e das identidades dos sujeitos sociais na contemporaneidade. Por fim, apresentam-se os resultados da pesquisa de campo realizada, tendo por informantes professores de literatura e alunos do último ano de ensino médio, e realiza-se uma análise em torno das ações pedagógicas atinentes ao ensino de literatura. __________________________________________________________________________________________ ABSTRACT / Starting from understanding that within the globalized context of the postmodern world, the relationship between human beings and the world, the other and the art changes; the
aim of the present work is to arouse a reflection about the reading of literature within the context of globalization. As the school is considered the first space of the formation of readers in Brazil, the reflections proposed in this work are anchored in a research developed with students and teachers of Portuguese Language in High School of the Federal District.
The first chapter includes a socio-historical context of the process of globalization, taking into account the human being within such a universe. The second chapter aims at the establishment of the relationship between literature an society, in which the interference of the technologies and the cultural industry in what concerns productions, circulation and reception of the work of art and the work of the literary art in particular are evaluated.
From the historical retrospective of literature taken as an integrated discipline of the school curriculum, since the colonial period till the guidelines of the Parâmetros Curriculares Nacionais, the third chapter focuses on the analysis of the reading of literature within the educational environment. It also ponders on the on the typical reader of the high school level
within globalization, by acknowledging the literary reading based on a critical perspective as an instrument of reference for the construction of subjectivity and the identities of the social subjects in contemporary times. The fourth chapters displays the results of the field research involving teachers and students of the high school third levels of public schools of the Federal District. Besides showing the results in this chapter we look forward to an analysis of the pedagogical actions in what refers to the teaching of literature. The analyses are based on the answers of the interviewed teachers and students.
