2006_Patrícia Carla Sitônio Lima.pdf: 2753936 bytes, checksum: c4bde0098e5f10f6b6e46b9257387da8 (MD5) / A finalidade desta dissertação é contribuir para a compreensão das influências da atividade turística para o desenvolvimento de uma região, uma vez que o turismo no mundo atual pode ser uma oportunidade de novos negócios, promovendo, ainda, a difusão de culturas, distribuindo renda, além de atuar como ferramenta auxiliar na preservação do meio ambiente e do patrimônio histórico, possibilitando ao homem o acesso ao lazer e ao entretenimento. No entanto, para que a atividade turística se dê de forma sustentável, a localidade deve dispor de recursos, de infra-estrutura adequada e de uma comunidade consciente e engajada no setor, para que essa não acarrete impactos negativos. Adotou-se como estudo de caso o Pólo Turístico de Porto de Galinhas, localizado no litoral sul do estado de Pernambuco, no município do Ipojuca, em função de seu destaque dentro do segmento turístico no estado e por essa atividade ser o principal eixo do crescimento e consolidação da área. O eixo central da pesquisa é o de analisar o impacto (positivo e negativo) do turismo na população local e suas projeções. Para isso, o estudo foi subdividido em quatro partes distintas: as duas primeiras tratam do referencial teórico com o estudo do conceito do turismo, de seu processo evolutivo e da construção e evolução das políticas brasileiras para o setor; a terceira trata de todo o processo de implantação, expansão e consolidação da atividade turística no espaço estudado e a quarta apresenta os resultados encontrados. A presente dissertação constitui uma importante ferramenta para que pesquisadores e órgãos competentes tenham uma base de dados atual para possíveis intervenções na região estudada. ________________________________________________________________________________ ABSTRACT / The purpose of this work is to contribute for the understanding of the influences of the tourism activity in the development of a region, a time that, the tourism in the current world can be a chance of new businesses, promoting, as well, the diffusion of cultures, distributing income, besides acting as an auxiliary tool in the preservation of the environment and historical sites, making possible to the man the access to leisure and the entertainment. However, so that the tourist acts in a sustainable way the locality must make use of resources, adequate infrastructure and a conscientious and engaged community in the sector, so that this won’t cause negative impacts. The Tourism in the region of Porto de Galinhas was adopted as case study, located in the south coast of the state of Pernambuco, in the city of the Ipojuca, which had its prominence inside of the tourist segment in the state and for this activity to be the main axle of the growth and consolidation of the area. The central axle of the research is to analyze the impact (positive and negative) of the tourism in the local population and its projections. For this the study it was subdivided in four distinct parts: the two first ones are about the theoretical referencial with the study of the concept of the tourism, its process of evolution and of the construction and evolution of the Brazilian politics for the sector, and, third, that it all deals with the implantation process, expansion and consolidation of the tourist activity in the studied space and fourth it presents the joined results. The present work constitutes in an important tool so that competent researchers and agencies have a current database for possible interventions in the studied region.
